Funny enough that same Ghana, formerly called Gold Coast, is among the last on the list , even behind Nigeria.

Despite being an independent nation before Nigeria, Ghana, like other nations older than our nation, have gone way behind Nigeria in terms of development and if anyone had predicted that Ghana would be behind us even in Gold, no one would have believed it.

I am happy that the CBN, under Emefiele, had even assured our Gold miners that Federal Government is ready to buy their gold from them too.

We need more investments in mining.

There's abundance of gold in Osun and Oyo state. This is the best time to invest in the mining sector and you will even enjoy tax holidays for 3 years and you can repatriate 100% of your funds!

Invest in Lagos and the neighbouring Yoruba South West states of Nigeria to enjoy great returns and best investor- friendly experience.

There's huge clay, sand for glass making etc deposit in Lagos , Ogun has loads of granite, bitumen, limestone etc, Osun and Oyo have perhaps the largest deposit of lithium ore in Africa along with gemstones, gold etc, Ondo has one of the world's largest deposit of bitumen.

Bring your investment to South West Nigeria today. God bless Nigeria for ever! Check my signature for free stuffs!
How can one invest in mining precious metals and gemstones in Nigeria?

I mean the whole process to get government approval and are the "fields" that will be leased out already proven to contain such natural resource?
Hmm

I like your ghana angle. Ghana held lots of promises. It was its gold deposits that attracted the british. Kwame Nkrumah was an epitome of pan africanism and deployed ambitious infrastructure projects across ghana, to the extent that Ghana was seen both as a model for modern nation building among many fledging african states just out of european colonialism, and a curator of sorts for black african history by a cross section of afro centric and black conscious african americans.

The unfortunate ousting of Nkrumah by reactionary forces brought Ghana to its knees.
They were on Nkrumah‘a case since he made that anti Neo-colonialism speech during independence.

You are very draft, if you want oil dig for it and see if federal government won't buy.

You can steal what federal government have drilled and then say they should buy it from you.

Btw, what is federal government taking from SE, every oil-producing state gets derivation, the oil in the whole of SE is not up to Delta state alone, that is even putting it lightly, ondo state has more oil deposit that the Imo and Anambra combined.
I won't educate you on why trillions are being spent on AKK
Secondly I won't educate you on the meaning of JVs and PSCs, and provisions for OMLs and OPLs
It's obvious that educating dummies is a waste of time

Those gold miners are investors just like Dangote investment in the petroleum industry. There's difference between investing legally and illegally, it's not everything you wail about... shocked
Ok Mr tiredness, can you point out where bidding for acquiring gold mines was publicized, where it took place and what is the revenue sharing agreement?
Those your investors, how did they enter into the agreement with FG

Or do you want to just shut up

That was why SW and SS were clamouring for resource control or regionalism during the constitution review/amendment, but SE aligned with the core North to spoil the show.

What is taken from the SE? You meant to say SS....last i knew, majority of other natural resources are abundant in other regions. If SE for instance has gold, by now, trust my Igbo brothers, nobody will even be in lagos, na mining them go dey do for East.
What is taken from SE?

The fact you asked that question shows your bigotry is irredeemable. Anyway I don't waste my time on bigots.
But one day, people will educate SE on how Nigeria is planning and working towards the future based on their resources

I think it is self-defeatist and reductionist that you left 1-5 and jumped to 8 to glorify mediocrity. Algeria, Morocco, South Africa, Libya were nowhere near Nigeria in the 70s and 80s when we were fondly referred to as giant of Africa.
So it's a poor mindset to engage in self-adulation by looking backwards instead of forward. I'm sure if you check this same statistics in the 80s, Nigeria will be top three.
Nigeria is not in a competition with Ghana. So stop the obviously puerile comparison

LoL this one has lost his sanity.
He said the government can and will never be able to provide these things, so why are you bittered since by your claim they are doing exactly what you expect them to do....

You can see that your mind is wired and programmed for negativity, that's why you hate to hear any good news on development.
You get uncomfortable when the government does something good and you begin to say whatever you can to convince yourself that the good news is a lie.
You mind can not and will never be able to conceive good.
With this your level of hate you are already in 500L at the college of witchcraft, I have no doubt you will be graduating in flying colors
You are a religious slowpoke who cling to hope when 63 years of constant decline and not a single iota of success stares you in the face. You must be benefiting from the government hence why you support it. Either that, or you're a tribalist and are simply doing what tribalists are mentally programmed to do

What is federal government taking from SE that is exclusively theirs.

When an idiot fail to make a point they start meaningless argument over an abbreviation that can be googled. Lol!

Not true. You have more money than Ghana and have bought more REFINED gold and kept as a reserve, than Ghana.

Ghana is the biggest gold PRODUCING country in Africa, doing about 117 tons. Gold production, gold reserve could mean the same thing, but mean different things under this context

The list is talking about African countries that have taken money out to buy and keep REFINED GOLD as a RESERVE for economic reasons etc. Not about GOLD PRODUCTION or GOLD DEPOSITS ranking.

Nigeria has 'more money than Ghana and so can afford to buy more gold and keep in reserve for whatever reasons. Ghana is on course to increase her reserves to at least 20 tons, and since July 2023 is now at 16.67 tons

English ...English.... We have two key words here, "gold" and "reserve".
It meant to be saved, to be reserved, not for spending

On your paper. Nigerians are so against any positive development in the country yet everyday you cry for positive change. But each time anything positive comes from the government you hate the positive you reject it by saying it's a lie, it's fake, it's only on paper, if I were a politician, I won't do anything, because the average Nigerian doesn't expect you to and when you do, they will still castigate you for doing the good, some will say it's eye service. You Felix are an enemy of the country.
You obviously don't even know what the word reserve means but you are the first the discredit the government, simple English word you can't take responsibility to understand but you will blame the government for not having a job
Aaaaah! Which one come be the river of tears now? You for carry this same energy condem forgery of certificate; and yakubu electoral magic. So that we go believe you. Anyway no cry again I know deep down you still want make the zoo good but tribal marks still dey do you popiyeso.

For you, Nigeria begins and ends in the Southwest. But tribal bigots like you will cry blue murder should the people of the Southeast and Southside choose to look inward to their oil and gas endowment.

Some of you Yorubas should be deported back to Dahomey immediately.

.
Thank you for reminding me to include the huge oil and gas deposit in Ondo, Lagos and Ogun state.

We need investors to bring their oil and gas investments to Yorubaland and we are not joking around when we say we mean business and want to compete fairly with other patriotic Nigerians from other regions.

We are patriotic Nigerians and we know that these investments in Yorubaland and South West will pay VAT to FG which will be shared among all the states in the Federation.
We will rather host the investors, treat them well so that they don't leave Nigeria for other countries. We are most committed to making investors thrive , enjoy great ROI and best investor friendly experience.
God bless Nigeria for ever!
