Hamas has been capturing Israelis and taking them back into Gaza. From the look of things, Hamas is not interested in holding territory. It only wants to capture Israelis and use them to negotiate the release of Palestinians in Israeli prisons. So far, the Israeli army is uncoordinated and receiving some serious beating. The attack caught them unawares and is so carefully planned and coordinated.

It's a coincidence. An invasion of this scale took years of planning. It's too coordinated, expertly planned, and with many never-seen-before military tactics. This will easily take 5 years plus if not more. US only released the money to Iran three weeks ago. Besides, Hamas doesn't need 6 billion to coordinate this sort of assault. It's mostly men with rifles and motorcycles. Palestine can afford that.

You don't think there's a bigger play afoot and all that was needed to kickstart it was money which US just happened to provide?

When Donald Trump refused to release this same money to Iran sometime ago, he specifically predicted that Iran might use it to fund violence and terrorism.

Omoh, the kind of power tussle currently going on amongst world powers is crazy! Now the big countries have resorted to using smaller ones to fight proxy battles while they pull the economic strings trying to out-do each other.
