FG likes announcing ideas that they can't bring to reality. It is always easier said than done. On behalf of FG i say by 2024, every part of Nigeria WILL begin to enjoy atleast 20hrs uninterrupted power supply as about 300,000 megawatt powerplant is being built across the nation. ![]() |

which farmlands will be used.. where farmers are kidnapping n killed at will. why will they cultivate when they can easily import them n give tax waivers. If you believe this then you're gullible enough. |

Begins where? When you're busy establishing herdsmen colony? How will the cattle colony exist with farm plantations? Why wheat? Is wheat our staple food? |

Emefiele even embezzled most of the money. Ordinary rice, we no fit farm, na wheat farming we now wan enter😡😡😡😡 |

If with good intention it's a laudable idea moreso I guess ADB is involved because our government are increasingly becoming unreliable. As they keep giving us these news from time to time and it will eventually yield no result a good example is Ajaokuta and our refineries. Let them keep to their words by implementing the good ideas and see the balance of trade will improve. And as for we the citizens we need to encourage them to do more of these rather than condemning them all the time. God bless the federal republic of Nigeria. No place like naija. |

I can't rejoice to this kind of news anymore. When we were still importing rice, rice was very affordable. Now that importation has been cut off and we're now majorly consuming locally processed rice, prices of rice have skyrocketed. Same thing happened to cement and same thing will happen to this wheat. The smallest loaf of bread could go from N200 to N1000. Let's just keep importing and accept our fate as a consuming country |

Ajehkpako4naija:875,000 metric tons of wheat on 70,000 hectares of land? That will take a miracle, to hit that figure in rice farming is not easy talkless of wheat that we are still struggling to hit 1ton per hectare. You can only say this to non-farmers and they will believe. |

We can do more. Go to states across Nigeria and see hectares of lands not in use. Why not put them into good use instead of those lands getting wasted while foodstuff is costly? Also, the organisation that helps farmers to package their products to meet international standards should have their offices in all the states and they must go about enlightening farmers in their local language on how to package their farm produce to meet international standards. Because of the peanuts we make from oil and gas, Nigerian government has become too relaxed for my liking. A hardworking man makes his own luck. |

ElSudani:. Lies. They would just allocate money, loot it and pretend that all is well. The last magic that Buhari administration did on rice. Allocated money, shared it and bought imported rice and displayed as the rice they farmed before the bubble burst. |
