I applied for a loan and I had to submit the details of my Bank card to pay 100 naira as a way to verify my card to enable them auto debit my card in case I defaulted.
No loan was approved and no money was sent to me but they kept deducting my money
Below is the numbers of debits they took from my account this morning...
The total amount now is at 145,000 Naira that they have fraudulently taken from my account without my authorization.

I saw the beneficiary name as KC Gaming Network but I don't play games, I don't play bet9ja...I don do any football betting at all...I only applied for a loan

They sent a form which I filled and I was later redirected to WhatsApp where I had to submit my picture, card pictures front and back. Then, I was asked to pay 100 naira to confirm my card, that was where I entered the card details thinking they are genuine loan company.

I have called the Bank to block the card.

Pls who knows what I can do to retrieve this money?

@OP what you've been subjected to is called fishing. It's someone that has gained access to your bank account via the private sensitive info you submitted
while seeking the loan.
First step is to contact your bank account officer in order to permanently block the access then if you want to fish out the perpetrator all you need do is get the ID of the bet account which will be used to get the information to trace the person.

You entered your banking details in a fake loan site ran by scammers. Your money is being used to fund a Bet9ja account and is transferred from there. Sorry for your loss. Sad to note that the banking system can not help in tracing the funds or recovering them.

This happened to me on Wednesday, I received a debit alert of 4400 on my zenith bank account, then moments later I received an OTP,😏 what’s going on?! So I call zenith bank and after burning my airtime waiting for 30mins and counting, I was put on to an agent who explained to me that it was a Netflix subscription😬😮 ……I use a DStv and that’s enough. I don’t need Netflix for anything so who must have done this?!? The banking systems must be held accountable and must be able to provide traces and money trails to aid in the recovery of stolen funds like mine and the OP and several others. It’s fast becoming unbecoming

The first thing to do is to move your money completely from the account to another or someone's account you trust and begin to find out the loopholes

I said I called customer care and she confirmed the card has bn blocked.... i myself also changed the web login details even before I called the customer care to block the card.
It was her confirmation that gave me confidence to continue to leave money in the account

If a card is blocked it takes almost 6 month for Visa or MasterCard to completely removed it from there portal and changing the web login details won't solved a thing

As payment are process using card details not your banking details

Never ever believe any word that says your account is blocked or card is blocked from a customer service of a bank

It's a pure lie and if you don't believe me

Try using that same card details on a different website and see if the payment won't go through.


So in that instance what you suppose to have done is move your money from the account and leave it. And
After some weeks , get a new card and start keeping small funds to confirm everything is good before you keep large funds and e disappear overnight.

Then on Friday, I received about 150k into the account towards evening and I bought 40k fuel from the money....by the time I got home, I started receiving debit alerts from KC Gaming Network....and I immediately called customer care

The first 25k was on 15th September...when the customer care informed me it has bn blocked, I was on keeping 2k, 5k in the account and I didn't go for another card untill Friday, when I received about 150k into the account towards evening and I bought 40k fuel from the money....by the time I got home, I started receiving debit alerts from KC Gaming Network....and I immediately called customer care

What the customer care agent did at first is put a limit on the card for 24hrs
Not blocking it and my advise here is stop using them for as long as you can
Until you are 💯 sure it's fixed

In this case I think if u sue Gt bank u would win if only u have the call record. You called the bank and they gave u their words that your card has been blocked only for the same card to be used for online betting

It doesn't work like that sir. I lost my AATM I blocked it from my app. The next day I saw the ATM I tested it is not working again till I use my phone to unblock the card again.

Mostly commercial banks

First bank, Gtbank and co

Once they told you , your card is blocked

Head over and try initiate a transaction with the same card details online and see

Then we can debate.

I seriously doubt if you can ever recover the money you lost.

You should have stopped immediately they said they were going to charge you money to verify your card because that in itself is already a red flag

dnt blame him , he has not seen 5h to eat and he is angry as how some one is losing 25k and 150k to scammers and still be calm .

Sorry for the lost. Someone already told you to go to the bank and let them tell you the bet9ja account username it was transferred to. The police can take it up from there.
