I hate this our Igbo culture. It's outdated. Imagine a child born outside marriage growing up without even knowing his father. Simple because, our useless tradition demind one useless bride price. I am married to an ilaje princess from ondo. A kings daughter and I had to do the right thing to be properly married, white wedding and court wedding was not as important to them as the traditional marriage rites.
I see so many young ladies here in Lagos that will get pregnant, stay with one egbon, saying it is her husband, after 8 months the lady is back in her parents house, next thing is to start runs. Is that the culture you appreciate?
