Okay, you hate Northerners.

Ol boy, at the end, humans are twats and evil and bitter people. As someone who has seen the worst from humans in my long and sometimes interesting life, one thing I have learned is not to be bitter or to hate people, but to learn to love people regardless of what they do to me or what they say to me.

Leave your bitterness behind, and grow up.

And I am not a Northerner or from the North.

P.S Seriously Bala Miller was well known acorss Nigeria in the 1980's.

Do Northerners like anybody but themselves?

Funny enough, there isn't a single Hausa or other Northern tracks here.

Does it mean that the north and south are two distinct regions, or we're just not a homogeneous blend?

Guys I am not saying they dont exist.
What I am really saying is that outside the north, they are not known.

Lets face it the South & North are different people.

We are long over due for a breakup.
we are talking old school naija music. The major source of music delivery then were NTA and Radio Nigeria. Dan Mariya Jos was a major music on NTA then (it was later that I understood that mariya is orphan). Hajia lolo music was also on NTA, nupe song which I don't understand, but the dancers shake nyansh was the attraction.
Argument on breaking up should be taken up on a politics thread, not on this beautiful thread

You won't know how far you've made me travel with this. I was trying to put the description the person above you gave together. I know I was familiar with it but I couldn't grasp either the artist name or title and then boom, you sorted it.

God bless you.

Had to download it ASAP

Fela - Look and Laugh, I still cry when I listen to this song. The emotion in the instrumentation is strong.
Fela - Water No Get Enemy
Fela - Army Arrangement
Fela - Stalemate
Fela - Teacher Don't Teach Me Nonsense
Ebenezer Obey - Olomi Gbo Temi
Sunny Ade - Esubiri Ebo Mi
Victor Uwaifo - Guitar Boy

Funny thing is I'm Gen Z by generation but Gen X in every other thing. I can't even relate with Gen Zs and it breaks my heart to see the steady rot in our music.

If I ever stumbled upon a time machine, I know where I'm going and I tell you, it doesn't have phones or gay marriage in it.

I beg who go help me find these 2 songs and their musicians

1. Cost of living is so high x2 transport cost so high, who do we complain to? No one to complain to.
(I remember the video of this song. It was in Lagos amidst danfo buses)
(The man also sang one song with him inside bubble bath)

2. Emily look what you've done to me...
(I remember the video was about how a young wife got boys to attempt to kill her older husband for his money)

Those good old days sha.

Like a number of people here, these songs remind us of some loved ones passed

You people must always bring us into convos, like why are you obsessed with us than us? You'd rather go back to a time where you had the power to oppress us because we are different,I hope you go back to the time where white people saw you as different to understand the oppression you are wishing on others
