Gaza has to be wiped away and avoiding human casualty on both sides is important as Israel seeks to achieve that. If they invade on ground, casualties will be higher for Israel. It is better they maintain the bombardment until the area is crippled and severely depopulated. Then decide on ground invasion.

Don't Israel have any 'mini nukes'? I don't see the point of a ground invasion as well, they should just give notice of a few days and then nuke central Gazaa. If they use a low yield bomb, the fallout will not reach Egypt or Isreal. Gazza totally destroyed. End of story
