This man was indeed a great man that ever bestride the Nigerian politico-military landscape with his pride, honour, and integrity held high aloof. The only fellas that came close to him were the likes of the legendary justices of the Supreme Court of the 1960-80s(fearless judges), Late Prof Beko Ransome-Kuti, his late brother-the legendary Fela Anikulapo Kuti, Late Alao Aka-Bashorun, Late R. Admiral Ndubuisi Kano, Chief Frank Kokori, La Pa Micheal Imodu, and some other uncountable heros of the Nigerian democratic struggle. How it came to be that we now accept the likes of the criminal certificate forger Nigeria has on seat today( who was aggressively prosecuted by same Gani despite being a fugitive Yoruba man), Prof Isay Sagay, Femi Falana, Olise Agbakogba Festus Keyamo, Rotimi Akeredolu etc as heros of democracy really is an insult to the sensibility of these true late icons of our democracy struggles and travails as a nation. In the process of his crusades for the rule of law, the hopes and aspirations of the poor and the oppressed, he fought many battles against military dictatorship as a result of which he had been arrested several times by the military governments & their numerous security agents.-1). “Patriotism is supporting your country all the time and your government when it deserves it.” ― Mark Twain. -2). “A patriot must always be ready to defend his country against his government.” - Edward Abbey -3). His travails from security agents never dissuaded him from defending the poor and the weak in the society. The legendary senior advocate of the masses( SAM). He practically fought the then oppressive military government over the gruesome Dele Giwa Murder Case till death. |

Gani Fawehinmi was elevated to the rank of Senior Advocate of Nigeria (SAN), the highest legal title in Nigeria, in September 2001.Gani's SAN was late in coming but it didn't came from him compromising standards or the corrupt murky waters of Nigerian politics unlike his shameless protegee - Festus Keyamo

In Nigeria, the dead are all saints ![]() If Oshiomohle and Keyamo had both died before they sat at the political table, they would have also been among our dead Nigerian saints. Allow the dead rest biko.... |

It is obvious that David Hundeyin is not Obidient but Atikulate. And there is absolutely no doubt that if Fawehinmi were to be alive today he would have been accused of having collected money from Tinubu for the kind of support he would have given Tinubu. Just like they now say that Farook Kperogi has collected $400,000 from Tinubu. Even that BBC has been bribe. |

Zxcvbnmghtr:I won't be surprised because according to Mr Dele, a lot of crooks and criminals would have gone to their graves as honorable men with integrity and principle but teanubu's exposed majority of them.
