This man was indeed a great man that ever bestride the Nigerian politico-military landscape with his pride, honour, and integrity held high aloof.

The only fellas that came close to him were the likes of the legendary justices of the Supreme Court of the 1960-80s(fearless judges), Late Prof Beko Ransome-Kuti, his late brother-the legendary Fela Anikulapo Kuti, Late Alao Aka-Bashorun, Late R. Admiral Ndubuisi Kano, Chief Frank Kokori, La Pa Micheal Imodu, and some other uncountable heros of the Nigerian democratic struggle.

How it came to be that we now accept the likes of the criminal certificate forger Nigeria has on seat today( who was aggressively prosecuted by same Gani despite being a fugitive Yoruba man), Prof Isay Sagay, Femi Falana, Olise Agbakogba Festus Keyamo, Rotimi Akeredolu etc as heros of democracy really is an insult to the sensibility of these true late icons of our democracy struggles and travails as a nation. You exposed your intentions when you created a thread and then began to comment on it.

You tried to use the (copy and paste) story of a great Omoluabi - the great Gani Fawehinmi, to warm your way into the sensibility of some people (though you only copied and pasted the articles - YOU ARE NEVER ORIGINAL). The end game of your copy and paste work is to get at the president as a result of your morbid hatred for the man of destiny (PRESIDENT, ASIWAJU, BOLA AHMED ADEKUNLE TINUBU).

To experience peace within and without, you may need to purge yourself of the hatred eating you up everyday.

There is nothing you and your generations can do about the LORD'S DOING.

Know this and know peace: President Tinubu's victory will make you sad forever ♾️ and there is no apology.

But wait, who is Obi Onwubuasi

You can also help us with a copy and paste history of this Obi Onwubuasi, his parents and how they died

Such a wonderful soul and s father of all once contested for the office of president but lost because no one wanted to vote a good man. Nigerians are terrible set of people ... We don't have bad leaders but bad people

Gani a great man.

In 2003 he contested for the presidency

In nigeria good men can't become president, not because of rigging, typical nigerians will not vote for him as he does play money with religious and ethnic bigotry

A nation without voices of conscience is doomed to be led by unquestioned, yet questionable characters like EBOLA.
Nigeria needs more Gani fawehinmi, more Chima Ubani ,more Dora Akunyili and other voices of conscience.
I doff my hat for Gani Fawehinmi.

I cried the day he died. I was on bed at night when I heard the news. I held the pillow and I cried very much because I knew what we have lost.

I have never cried for someone I haven't seen physically or not literally related to me at all, but at that time, I was aware of his struggle for justice, freedom and conscience. I like reading his publication and his struggle with the military government and how he was jailed in almost every prisons and cells in Nigeria.

Being the first lawyer to sue a new and sitting governor in certificate forgery in 1999 was legendary.

In Nigeria, the dead are all saints grin

If Oshiomohle and Keyamo had both died before they sat at the political table, they would have also been among our dead Nigerian saints.

Allow the dead rest biko....

Femi Falana hypocrisy was exposed with the advent of the devillish APC. The role he played in bringing the catastrophic Buhari and the monumental fraud Tinubu today is well known. He was not an advocate of the masses because he has sincerity of heart or purpose but just a political opportunitist as Festus Keyamo.

This is the kind of mentality that made Israel became complacent and Hamas took them by surprise. The Muslims does not accept Christian etiquette in their schools but wants to impose theirs in Christian school.

Imagine this demented fella saying hijab should be enforced in International school University of Ibadan. Of course he was put where he tightly belong. The MURIC hijab controversial can only sail in a Muslim school or institution.

You see the senselessness of some of you. That I have morbid hatred for the criminal called Bola Tinubu is an unapologetic fact, but it does not stop me from appreciating good Yorubas who are worthy ambassadors of the region.

I campaigned, voted and partook in the fight to restored MKO Abiola mandate back then not based on primordial sentiments but because he portents hope. However, today you said a despicable man like the certificate forger on seat is deemed fit for office, well let conscience and posterity judge who was right or wrong.

Gani has no equal.

He stood alone in life and stands alone in death.

Few people know that Keyamo was dismissed from his chambers for misconduct.

Gani didn't say anything about it while he was alive but that silence cost Nigerians a lot.

So what? That is the job of lawyers - to defend people who may retain them as clients. You cannot tell me that because someone defended a murderer - which is his job, he is then a murderer. Is a doctor who saves an armed robber's life indicted in his armed robbery??

You people are just terrible beings.

Senior Advocate of the Masses.

Chief Gani was poisoned by DSS using ascenic and mercury.

Anyone who has spent a day in DSS lion house should know.

These chemicals take years and slowly kill the person.

Check anyone who spend at least a month in any DSS cells.

You go shrink if you enter inside not because of food but what they give you to eat.

Gano would be spinning in his grave seeing his proteges like keyamo and falz father who sold out.

A patriot, selfless workaholic, compassionate friend of the poor, detribalized giant, lion of Masses, judicial juggernaut, highly cerebral, no nonsense man. He left with out a replacement for the oppressed poor. He thought his protegees would carry on, alas each has gone their ways, far from his fearsome defense of the oppressed, in favour of lucre.
Sleep on, SAN.

An ordinary lawyer can defend the devil, no probs
But a lawyer who's a human rights activist should have a higher level of morality

Thank you very much. The bolded do fake human rights advocacy to still be in the spotlight, while indeed they are snakes and do not give a hoot about the people.
An uncle once solicited legal services from one of them. When he came to their office to complain for their lack of indulgence in his case, a female principal partner there screamed and insulted him out of the premises and that is how everything went to waste. It is those who don't know them that cheer them.
May the soul of Chief Gani Fahwenhinmi rest in peace. The greatest SAN ever.
