Keep playing your mates are buying iPhone and you are buying Tecno still have d courage to come and rant, you like gbanjo things but you don't want to be scammed

Why do you sound pained?

Gbanjo? I spent 70k on that Techno in 2013, was it out of place to expect some form of quality from Techno?

Lol this happened since 20213, what brand of phone do you think i have been using since then. Dey play.
Re: The Scam That Is Carclare by Styluss: 7:45pm On Oct 15, 2023
Lol, calcare service does not cover physical or internal damages inflicted internally or externally.
I think you misunderstood the policy
Yohdarlng:
Good morning everyone. I opened this thread to expose CARLCARE for the fraud they are.

I bought this phone (a tecno spark 9T) from one of my guys. He needed cash and I needed a phone. It's barely a year he purchased the phone (he got this device last year December) which means the device's warranty is still valid.

The device fell and the screen got damaged as the ink spilled across the screen he had assured me I could get a screen replacement since the warranty was still active which I had confirmed myself based the information on CARLCARE app.

This encouraged me to buy this device from him since I could get a screen replacement. On paying for the device, I visited a CARLCARE service centre to redeem this warranty where to my surprise I was been told that the device had fallen so it did not cover the warranty contrary to the information I got on their application.

I wrote their customer care and I was been told the same thing, I sent screenshots of their website as evidence to backup my claims, I wasn't the one that conjured this information, this information is clearly there in the website this wasn't enough as they said they didn't know anything about that.
This warranty was paid for upon purchase of this device CARLCARE has Defrauded me and countless of other Transsion phone users and something must be done about this.

Do you have a screen card?

Yohdarlng:

These are screenshots from their website as promised. I even had to check the validity of the warranty on their website and this is a hat I saw.

Yes, I do

I don't live in Lagos, I took this to their main office in the city where I live.
I'll suggest you take it back to the store your friend got it from. I'm not sure it's all service centers that can handle issues like that.
Same time you can visit another store in your city, and act like you want to buy a new phone, ask about the broken screen program; once they educate you on it, tell them you have an active broken screen card that, and then watch how it plays.
You can also send your friend to the main office you went to try it out.
You're mixing up broken screen card with warranty, they are different things.

They call it the "E-warranty card"

I see you're still confusing the terms, e warranty is not broken screen card, it's same as warranty.
It's just a card that displays you have warranty.
But it won't still guarantee free repairs on self inflicted damages.

I would still refer you to this information on their website in case you are not yet clear about their fraudulent activities

Re: The Scam That Is Carclare by Babalegba(m): 9:15pm On Oct 15, 2023
The o.p does have a valid legal argument if he has the screen card but the agreement might not be transferable so his friend should take the phone to Carl are and if they are stupid enough to still refuse then the matter should be reported to nigerian consumer protection agency who will discipline carlcare for scamming the public.
Re: The Scam That Is Carclare by Yohdarlng(m): 9:25pm On Oct 15, 2023
This is the activated broken screen card issued to me as seen on their website

Like I said earlier if you have a valid BSC (broken screen card)[not warranty or warranty card] you can get your damaged screen replaced <regardless the cause> because the BSC is a form of insurance not warranty.
If you have the BSC card go to any reputable outlet and see what they'll say.
Preferable where the guy got the phone as not all outlets may be sensitized on the matter.
If they deny or decline, you can start a case against them.

That is where we went to, luckily the shop has a CARLCARE service center and as far as I know that's where they refer customers from other shops too. I went there with him twice. They repeatedly told me that the BSC service did not exist.

Hmmmm
Then how did your friend get the BSC?
Like I said, you can send someone else to the store to act like they want to buy a phone, the person should say they saw the BSC program online and would want to enroll their new device and see what they say.
If they say they do that, you can then ask about the current BSC card you have, if they say they don’t, then you have to question where your friend generated that one from.

The last time we went there they told me the warranty does not cover physical damage at that point I had to show them the BSC card and the Information their website, they still denied and us that this was not the service they provided at that point I realised that they was nothing I could say that would change their mind as it was now looking like the I only came there to make trouble

That means they are wrong in that regard

A lot of people here do not understand what OP is saying,

He is not talking about Warranty but a broken screen issuance in form of a card which his friend, the former owner of the phone purchased.

Please, people that know much about this particular card should throw more light on it here so that we all can understand and be guided approximately.

The problem with Nigerians is that they comment without reading

I understand you perfectly but you need to check if it was CarlCare that provided this BSC.
From the look of things, it seems to be an EasyBuy service and not from CarlCare.

My encounter with carlcare reveals that they repair phones that have company faults.

all I see are Carlcare and tecno marketers defending their rubbish brand. Carlcare and tecno are scam including itel and Infinix. STAY AWAY FROM TRANSION HOLDINGS

This is not a fair statement, they might have been a mix up before but Tecno is doing well in making better smartphones

OP,what you don't know, you don't know...what you can't translate is the English that was used....work into any big mobile shop and same English is used.....That card states free repair service,it simply means you do not pay for workmanship/service rendered but you will but the screen yourself.......I am familiar with this logic because my company used it way back....repair service means the money you pay as labour or workmanship to fix a part....once you read warranty,it is only based on the money you pay after a service as been rendered
Re: The Scam That Is Carclare by Norman4real(m): 7:24am On Oct 27, 2023
It's your friend that scammed you. Take the phone back to him so he can claim this screen repair service, after all he's the one that bought the phone.
