A businessman, Uduak Akpan Sunday has narrated how he was allegedly brutalised by policemen attached to the Cross River State Police Command over an offence the security personnel reportedly failed to disclose.

According to Sunday, the officers led by one Ibrahim Mohammed Adamu arrested him in front of his house around 6 a.m. on Saturday.
The businessman told SaharaReporters that he was beaten with a machete, handcuffed and treated by the policemen like a criminal.

Sunday said despite not finding anything incriminating evidence on him, his wife was called on the phone and forced to send N11,000 to an OPay account belonging to the police team leader, Ibrahim Mohammed Adamu with account.number: 8021025969 before he was released.

He said, “Some policemen from the Cross River State command, Calabar on an illegal raid brutalized me and
extorted me and others. They were led by one Ibrahim Adamu,” he told SaharaReporters.

“Adamu and his team members came into my compound yesterday morning, 14th of October 2023,
around 6 a.m. where I sell borehole water. Exactly in front of my gate, they saw me and brutalized me. They
used a machete on me then forced me into their car and drove off to their station.

“Reaching there, Adamu personally used my phone to call my wife to transfer money to his bank account, he threatened her that if the money wasn’t transferred, then my wife would not see me again, that I would be killed without any trace. My wife then transferred N11,200 to his Opay account before he released me.

“He released me without any record of any kind, no statement at the station, they just bundled me and others behind the bar without doing anything. I don't even know the crime I committed for me to be beaten and extorted.

“They have made it difficult for people to go out in peace. I need justice, the Inspector General of Police and police commissioner should come to our rescue.

“Innocent people going on the street are being arrested by policemen in Cross Rivers.”

Efforts made by SaharaReporters to reach Adamu were not successful as he did not answer his phone when our reporter called him. He also did not reply to a WhatsApp message sent to him even though the double grey ticks of the messenger changed to blue, suggesting the message had been read.

This comes a few hours after the spokesperson of the Nigeria Police.Force, Olumuyiwa Adejobi, said police personnel who trot guns at Nigerians in order to extort them are not different from armed robbers.

Nigerian police is a criminal organization.

Majority of kidnapping are done by Nigerian police and sister agencies.

Months ago in our church, a woman gave a testimony of how her nephew was not killed by RRS.

The boy, a student of Abia poly went out to buy airtel line. He was in a keke when a sienna car doublecrossed them. The officers of RRS told him if he run he will be shot. The boy asked what crime he did? They pushed him into the car and drove off. They started to accuse him of being a yahoo boy, instructed him to unlock his phone. After going through his phone and they can't find anything to nail him, they asked him to give them money because they wasted fuel to carry him. He told them he has no money, checked his balance on his phone in their prescence. They started insulting him and let him to go when they knew it was bad market for them.
These RRS bandits held him hostage in the car while moving around Aba. They drove to Ogborhill, Immaculate, Ngwa rd.

A Northerner shouldn't be arresting an Efik man when the Police there should have sent his tribesman to do an effective job if he committed an offence or broke the law.

Police...
Story is somehow, like really somehow

Enter into your compound, arrest you completely, unprovoked when you've done absolutely nothing??
Collect money, and then release you??

Is that not how kidnapper operates? The motive is to get money. That's what majority of police do

When Nigerian eventually breaks down (completely) all of us will have guns, depending on what each person can afford. That's when we will deal with all these policemen.

There is no person in that country that hasnt fallen into the arms of these criminals called Police. NIGERIA is the only country in the world that actually has force members loathed by the public they are meant to serve. Shame.

What I want to emphasize is the officer in question. The PIG is a Northerner that can't even try this Nonsense in the North. He becomes a champion in the South, because people are laid back and allow some useless things to happen.

If the man decides to become a ruthless person and excert revenge on all policemen he comes across, idiots from TINUBU piggery, will be shouting Nonsense.

Anyway for EAST hand for don touch am...e sure and idiots from SW will claim IGBOs are Killing IGBOs..spits.

They should be disbanded entirely

There's no use in having a police force when they're doing coherent meaningful work
