i will say he didn't ask me any questions, but when he took my documents and was typing in his system there is a place he got stocked and he asked me what was my motivation,i said international and foreign exposure, to advance my knowledge, learn from one of the best in the world, free tuition, he continued typing again, that is the only question. Sorry for the late update....

I have picked up my passport with Visa stamped.

I booked for appointment on 21-08-2023
Got my AD same day and the interview date was on 7-09-2023
Here they dont send approval mail, you will go and pick up your passport when its ready.
I got a message on 11-10-2023 that my passport is ready and I should come and pick up.
I went to their office on 12-10-2023 and picked up my passport and Visa was stamped
So it took 5 weeks to get my Visa after interview....

Guys don't allow anyone to discourage you, purse your dream with everything you have... If the embassy in Nigeria is delaying you, please check other African countries, like the west Africa countries. The day i went for my interview we are not upto 8 that day and i am the only one for study Visa, others are for visiting Visa and for family reunion. The Visa officer didn't ask me any question, he just took my documents and key it in.
Most of this countries their citizens travels through sea, so their embassies dont have traffic like the embassy in Nigeria.

How old was your Gambian resident permit before you applied for interview?

I heard from some folks that is should be at least 6 months old and only seen this instruction for only Rewanda, I am not sure about other countries. Would be great to have a general confirmation for everyone on the issue.

A good number of German school don't ask. Most of d uk schools I applied to did not even ask for English proficiency. My WAEC/NECO was enough

You are lucky o. I’m unable to obtain my official transcript, I have to pay #30,000 for every request. 😞

Why not process your transcript and address it to either an education Consultancy company or a private company that process student visa so matter how small. Even a private/ public secondary school/ college if u know someone in the Amin office around your area. That way you can use it for all your applications. That was how I did mine.

I'll always advise every prospective student to do course-specific research. Most people take requirements for their course and then Generalize it.

For the first school on that list, RWTH Aachen univerisity for example, only allows native English speakers and around 6 other countries which you can find in the screenshot below for the Faculty of Electrical/Computer Engineering. This faculty also has GRE requirement which cost $220(220,000 naira) as a compulsory requirement.

The above requirement is similar to a couple of comptitive admission. So when saying ielts is exempted, its good to tell the person the course, because requirements are not same across the board. That's why you and a couple of guys jumped to my statement of opposing the statement "most schools", because this is not same across board espeiallly for competitive courses.

My interview was on the 4th of August, Which is almost 2 months and 3 weeks, getting to 3 months now, but I have not receive any response. I emailed the consulate, but no response from them. I also emailed the Federal Office of Administration responsible for handling visa application on three different occasions. The first responses I got was “ Your digital visa request has been transmitted on 06.09.2023

The responsible immigration office (AuslÀnderbehörde) is the city council of Karlsruhe.

We have not yet received the physical documents of your visa application.

We will forward your papers to the immigration office immidiately after their arrival.”

Then after a week, I emailed again, then got this response
“ The responsible immigration office (AuslĂ€nderbehörde) is the city council of Karlsruhe.

The original documents have been sent to the responsible immigration office on 20.09.2023

The visa application will be processed there.

If you have any questions regarding the current processing status, please contact the
immigration office.”

Then after waiting and emailing again I got this
“ your visa application is still in progress at immigration office (AuslĂ€nderbehörde) in city council of Karlsruhe.

We have no information about the current processing status or processing duration at immigration office.

For further information please contact immigration office (AuslĂ€nderbehörde).”

I am confused on what to do next, any help or advice will be appreciated and what’s the possibility of my visa being approved.

Bro let's leave this salaye, your screenshot is even in support of what majority of us are saying.
Our schools are English based school. That's why they can issue letter of English.
There will be some schools or faculties or even department that may have special request but not in majority.

Your visa processing is at the alien office. There's actually nothing you can do than to wait at this point. The alien office is responsible for approval. When it's ready, you'll get a feedback. The good thing is, it's at their end.

I think the saying “it depends on the city your school is” might actually be true and probably what’s causing the delay due to the number of applicants that are traveling to that particular city, because, a friend of mine who did her own interview on the 4th of August 2023 got her Approval Mail on the 4th of October and her DHL delivery on the 13th of October with her visa stamped. Just be patient for a while and hopefully you’ll be contacted when they’ve finally processed your application.

Hello my people!
Please I need advice on applying for appointment.
I want to apply for bachelor's program with some schools next year. Which date can I choose as my start date while booking so I could have a better chance instead of waiting one year. Should I choose this year October or next year October. I need advice please. 🙏🙏🙏 Also which embassy is better. Abuja or Lagos?
