1. The Jewish claim to the land is not only rooted in religious text.
There are more then enough historic and archeological evidence to prove that the Jews lived there.

2. It was actually the Arabs who took over the land forcefully. The Arabs took over the land in 636 AD. By then it was a mostly Christian community. Through ethnic and religious cleansing, Arabs became the majority in that region.

3. When the Jews returned in 1948, they did not put Arabs in a small town. The UN divided the land of Palestine into 2. The first part was Trans-Jordan and it was given entire to the Arabs. The second part was shared between the Arabs and the Jews. The Arabs rejected and went to war.

4. Between 1948 and 1967, Gaza was annexed by Egypt. The Palestinians lived in refugee camps. Not for once did they fight or demand their land from Egypt.

5. The Palestinians for most of the time had a policy of 3 Nos, The “three nos”—no peace with Israel, no recognition and no negotiations. Till today, Hamas holds this doctrine.

6. Israel gave up Gaza in the name of peace in 2005. It was only when the people of Gaza voted for the terrorist organization Hamas the next year that Israel began the blockage for security reasons.
