Hello naira landers, there's an ongoing Trip to Finland, for the self referendum convention that will hold tomorrow in Finland, organized by Simone Ekpa and other biafrans, my question is, self referendum convention, is it the same thing as the normal referendum that people gathering together will decide where they want to be, or is it different, anyone with a clear understanding should help me please

People that have money to fly to Finland don’t need a referendum in the first place, they can denounce their citizenship and on top of that they are outside the country. It is self referendum like you say it, it doesn’t have effect on any other person except the individuals. What we are talking about is mass referendum and that requires a lot of people so this type requires mandated individuals to kickstart it, a councilor can start such a referendum and pull his constituency out of Nigeria but no one will take him serious, also a father can stage a referendum and pull his minor wards out of Nigeria, no one will take him seriously and no one would apply for visa to his country. The keyword here is seriousness and mandate, you can declare your house a country but you have to abide by the international laws of Nigeria since Nigeria is a country where your family country exist. For those ones outside the country they can have their referendum but the bulk of the matter would be decided by those in the country |
