Ilorin is or Kwara state in general have low cost of living compare to Abuja. Having said that, economic opportunities are in every states but your job, skills, trade, connections will always play vital roles.

Valid points...
OP which area do you reside?

Well ...why not change location to a less expensive location around abuja like Lokogoma...where you reside is as expensive to stay just like Asokoro.
However your best approach to become financially buoyant to foot ever rising bills is to seek and key into multiple streams of income...

I’m currently in ilorin bro, I can’t lie for you there’s are jobs except you’re into IT and working remotely..

Ilorin is the best city for remote workers in Nigeria, good electricity, cheap apartments, cheap food etc…

But for other jobs I can’t advise you

Thanks for your input, but i am not relocating to seek for a job rather to continue the business i am running in abuja here. My wife is a good hair stylist. Moreover, all over the country now there's no job. Any little job you do in abuja as it stands wont yield anything because of high cost transport. Thanks for telling about its good amenities,eg affordable houses, light, food. These are things i really needs in life to make it comfortable
