Rip to her.

This is an unavoidable scenario. Something a common wedge on the tyres of the truck would have prevented.

It's a pity how as nation we got this low.
Avoidable rather

The vehicle is not road worthy. No need for wedge

You know nothing about truck.

Trucks uses air for their braking system, and the major reason for this was; the driver didn't put on the handbrake.

If the VIOs were doing their jobs as they should instead of collecting bribes this type of unnecessary accident would not happen. What stops the VIOs from inspecting and revoking the road worthyness of old trucks undecided . The Developed world don't allow trucks that are over 10yrs on their roads angry

But those useless Road Safety officers won't see that cos they have been 'settled' it's innocent private car drivers they'll be charging for road worthiness and insurance paper up and down. May the soul of the departed Rest in Perfect Peace.

It was a tragic and unconventional incident as a truck with no driver inside it killed a woman in Anambra State.

The incident happened at Ezeiweka Road axis of the Onitsha—Owerri Road, Onitsha, at about 3.pm on Thursday.

It was gathered that the Mack Truck was parked, while goods were being offloaded from it; and all of a sudden, it rolled off without any driver inside it.

However, as attempts were being made by people to stop the truck, it speedily knocked down a woman and crushed her to death before it was eventually stopped. The woman was also trapped under the truck.

It was gathered that rescue team from the Federal Road Safety Corps RS5.3A1 Upper Iweka Outpost, Anambra State, rushed to the accident scene along with the Awada Police team, and made efforts to get crane to lift the 40ft container and bring out the corpse of the trapped woman and clear the obstruction caused by the accident.

However, as at the time of filing this report, the whereabouts of the truck driver remains unknown, while investigation is still ongoing.

In Nigeria you just have to be as smart as a thief. Always be walking on the road like a thief because many things are wrong here

This is actually unfortunate and preventable but people will not want to take the pain and do the right thing at all times, is like people like taking break too often on basic things to be done, simply applying wedge to this truck now, they didn't, now see what it has cause.

Quite painful....
At least, it's better than those we've seen kill numerous people......
Let's see less death during such stunts
