Spy360:I still disagree. Martinelli will not make his way to the back for that goal. have seen enough to conclude that Trossard is ahead of Martinelli, for me at least. |

Roland17:Tomi provided a lot of steel inverting which is quite different from the technicality of Zinny. We needed that steel more. |

Itsrm:Alaye we give u 2 goal head start still you couldn't get it done.. We did not start playing until the 70th minute, pretty much the last quarter of the game with you still having a 2-0 head start.. You ended the game with theatrics of time wasting. You spent the final 20 minutes hugging the grass at home and begging for a draw.. |

Spy360:Fair, but it wasn't what changed the game for us offensively. He did a better job defensively while inverting but it wasn't his substitution that triggered the draw. |
| Re: Arsenal Fans Thread: The Red & White Army: 2025/2026 EPL Champions! by Spy360(m): 7:40pm On Oct 21, 2023 |
Roland17:Against Man City Martinelli came as a sub and scored too. Honestly it's easier coming as a sub. Especially if you're a winger. |

Spy360:Not doubting that but I would rather Trossard than Martinelli at this point. We saw Martinelli throughout the game struggle to make any impact with possession. He lost a ton of balls, did not help Zinny and don't get me started on his final balls and decision making. |
| Re: Arsenal Fans Thread: The Red & White Army: 2025/2026 EPL Champions! by Spy360(m): 7:44pm On Oct 21, 2023 |
Roland17:It wasn't the trigger but it contributed. The trigger for me was Rice moving to DM and Havertz shadow marking Caicedo and Enzo taking them out of the game. This gave Saka room which he lacked all game. |

Shout out to the boys for the game even though the noisy neighbours scored cheap goals. I said some weeks back that Raya has not been convincing, and dude has not proved Me wrong. Please what's the rationale behind starting Jorginho when Partey is fit? |
| Re: Arsenal Fans Thread: The Red & White Army: 2025/2026 EPL Champions! by Roland17(m): 7:46pm On Oct 21, 2023 |
Spy360:Rice was our player, his hunger and drive kept us going. Moving to the base was good in providing the balance but once again, it did not change or trigger our offense. Your comment about Havertz buttresses my point about Trossard/ Havertz substitution. |

Spy360:He was not wasted there, instead we're just playing one man down in midfield because of anonymous Jorginho Tbh, second big game in a row where Odegaard and Jorginho are underwhelming. Infact this is Odegaard's worst game this season But I guess you'll see it as Rice struggling again |
| Re: Arsenal Fans Thread: The Red & White Army: 2025/2026 EPL Champions! by Itsrm(m): 8:07pm On Oct 21, 2023 |
iamoyindamola:On the contrary, I liked what I watched. I liked how you guys had your heart in your mouth throughout the match. You guys thought we were going to be pushovers. I mean, someone on this thread said he has never been this confident going into a match against Chelsea ![]() So if you think I'm embarrassed, you're very very wrong. |

Itsrm:Not about the banters before the match, but it's about your 1 billion team that couldn't maintain the 2 goals lead even after 75 mins when many of you already started celebrating victory...only for your team to now start begging for a draw at the last minutes... even José Mourinho the wall builder/bus parker will marvel at how all your players became thick wall/bus parker and professional time wasters. ![]() |

Lol... A game of Luck and dash ![]() Mudryk Lucky goal Saliba unfortunate handball cum penalty Rice Capitalisation of Sanchez's blunder Only Trossard goal was well worked and I'll give credit to Trossard for trying to reach to end of that cross after reading the game by Saka. The blindsided run to score must have shocked Gusto ![]() But then, that's the quality Saka gives you even on his off day. Also, I didn't think he was fit. I think he was rushed. He doesn't look himself through out today's match except the dying minutes. Well, I wasn't really surprising they pressed us today, I've been following their game and even though they do lose(or draw), it was just a matter of time before they clicked and seeing their last two results, I was a bit worried they're getting into form. Jorginho in that Midfield was just the deal-breaker for me and I was just hoping we play our game. Poch really red our game well and stifled our strength (Midfield). I think Saka not really fit gave them that edge too. I've already counted the game as a lost game cos I just didn't see how we'll score any goal. Yes we were that marshalled. Thank goodness to their overconfidence thinking they've won the game and their complacency. That really gave us a way back into the game through that mistake. Hopefully we keep on grinding when it matters. COYG!!! NB: Chelsea fans have already decided about their mudryk and how to troll us but Trossard say Oga na master. ![]() |

That penalty is very debatable unless the rule want players to cut off their hands |
| Re: Arsenal Fans Thread: The Red & White Army: 2025/2026 EPL Champions! by Spy360(m): 8:26pm On Oct 21, 2023 |
Jodera:Playing that no8 is not best for Rice. He is a player that wants the ball not mark spaces. Jorginho affected Odegaard not Rice. Odegaard needed a dominant DM who can hold the ball and drag players away. Without Partey or Rice, Odegaard will struggle. |
| Re: Arsenal Fans Thread: The Red & White Army: 2025/2026 EPL Champions! by mostob(m): 8:29pm On Oct 21, 2023 |
Rice won the game for us. That instinctive shot from him, not many players can do that. Raya? I remember telling people to calm down and not to throw Ramsdale under the bus yet. Every GKs has their own lapses. His positioning for that second goal was poor especially when you consider the fact that he is short. BTW, I hope this match have shown the fans the glaring differences between ESR, Vieira and Havertz. 0/10 for Arteta for the points lost. His player selection and substitution gave Chelsea a strange confidence. January should come fast...we need some emergency transfer. Ivan Toney, and maybe another midfielder. Hopefully Timber comes back asap cos this Zinny no be am. |

iamoyindamola:I don't think it was. Ball was heading on target and Saliba hands was outstretched. Unlucky for Saliba but then he really denied a goal scoring opportunity There is a big reason he wasn't carded at all |
