Find a job you can earn 30-40k.per.month and save out of the salary for 15 months and you own your shop. Dont give up. You will succeed

This is a good comment, thanks.
Maybe it is where I live, but the jobs here (that I am aware of) pay less than 20k. Those (that I am aware of) that pay up to 30k taxes you to the extreme. My neighbor worked one such job but had to quit after 3 to 4 months.

I am not closing all possibilities, though.
I will try to do as you say and keep on the lookout.

Will I succeed? I hope I do, but I don't even know anymore cry

I know dark times must pass, though.

Your strength is little. You need a ladder..someone to carry you up. That was my buggest challenge when i was much younger. It took me years to defeat it. The enemy of a young man is brilliant mind but no money to execute

Whatever you do, dont let the devil enter your mind to do bad thing. Stay hopeful and you will succeed

You have to inform your, friends, colleagues & family & church members that you are doing home barbing service for the same price the barber does it for them. This so to enable you gather money to fire your current boss.

- Ensure you buy a rechargeable clippers (buy it with your salary, you may go hungry for a while but trust me, you will quit in few months)

- Cover clothes use rapper and ensure you spray it with perfume

- Disnfectant buy spirit mix with ✋ sanitizer

- You should have comb, hair brush 🖌️ and powder

Once you start making money, you buy the listed item small small

I was in such situation as you, I was a very good cook, I told people in my circle and within the environment that I can be their home chef, I started with the chairman of the LCDA, from one of the meetings they saw me cooking for him and some members of the meeting made equiry and I started. It was even one of the members that told me to start food business, I did and today the story is different.

One of my cleaner owns a cleaning service today and does washing services for people in the community.

All the best

You don't need to start the business like having everything in your list at once.
Go through your list again and pick 5 most useful things like clipper, mirror, gen, shop, seat or chair. You can then be moving gradually to make it your taste.

If you already have 2-3 customers you are servicing leverage on social media
Dustbinbint:

I am already doing home service, and by now I have 2 to 3 regular customers (although I recently started).
I believe that if I worked harder at distributing fliers, small business cards, and other means of advertisement, I will get more customers. But I'm just tired.

I looked back over the past 2 years and I just feel down because financially I have nothing to show for it, although I am beginning to feel slightly better than I was feeling when I first typed out this post.

Thanks for your comment, though.
If you want to extend financial generosity to render me some assistance, I will appreciate it a lot. But don't feel compelled to.
Many thanks!
Don't waste scarce resources to do the bolded.
Are you on TikTok, Instagram or Facebook? If yes leverage on it to maximize your presence. The italicized, I did the best I can do

Sorry, man. It's a very desperate measure because of the desperateness of my situation.
I might take down this post after a while, when I feel like it has served its purpose.
I see no value in begging people for their hard-earned money, but u know say na condition make crayfish bend.

Good day, Nairalanders. I hope you are having an excellent time.

You can see from my username that I tried to be as anonymous as possible. That's because I am doing something I haven't done before (publicly soliciting financial assistance)

Before I go further, let me give you a glimpse into the past:

I don't want to sound like I'm wallowing in self-pity, and I am really trying hard not to sound that way.
But really, most days, I wake up feeling like there's no point in doing anything at all. It's almost as if you have to pay to breathe, as if those who have nothing have no right to life.

I learned barbering for 9 months total (over a period of 2 years of on-and-off tutorials) and am now very good in the occupation. However, I have absolutely no money to use to open up a barbershop.
For the mean time, I am teaching at a school for a meager pay of 10,000 NGN monthly. Trying to save money through this means is almost impossible for me.

Recently, I have been increasingly depressed about this, seeing no light at all at the end of the tunnel.
But it suddenly occurred to me to come up to nairaland and see what good I can do myself through you people.

So, here is my business plan as you can see in the picture attached.
It was created several months ago, but was edited yesterday to cut out some unnecessary things I put there before (door mat, cooking stove, mat for sleeping, etc)

Altogether, funding myself for a barbershop should cost 300,000 - 500,000 NGN.
Please, I really will need assistance from you people to this end, for I have no one else to turn to, no option I don't think I haven't tried.
If your heart moves you to do so, please send me a DM so that I will send my account number to you (for anonymity, I cannot post it here—for I do not wish that my personal name be revealed).

Once again, please help me from a very distressing situation.
Thanks in advance.

Re-edit your list, and cut it down to like 200k. If you're the only one barbing, what do you need 4 clippers for? What do you need 2 generators for? You need to go back to that your list and remove those things you wouldn't need urgently.

The goal is to open the shop, once it's opened, you can use proceedings from it to get the remaining things on that list.

Trim down. Go and serve. Go and serve. Why do you want to be oga without first serving others. Go and serve for a year money will come out from your service.

If you must start by force, you only need recharegeable clipper and cleaning items 20k. Start with home service. One month home service will give you atleast 50k monthly

I don't understand where you asked me: “why do you want to be Oga without first serving others?” I served during the months that I spent learning, or so I believe. Or what type of service are you referring to?

I will look more into that home service thing you mentioned.
