Hello @afrikankel, I had borrowed the passport and was advised to pickup at TLS. The TLS guy advised that I should return it directly to the embassy. Kindly guide the effective way of doing ghis. Do I just take it to the embassy without an appointment? I have asked them to guide me through email but yet to receive a response.

You can call the Embassy on 08033016822 for guidance.

Please does the duration of travel insurance determine duration of visa that will be given to you ?

No. But it should cover for the period of your first visit

Tls in lagos ?

I’m not based in Lagos or Abuja . I submitted at Vfs Victoria island lagos . Which of the TLs office did they go to ? Trying to figure out which of the office I’ll go to

Also when did they go to pick it and do you have any idea whom I’ll speak to when I go there?

It’s only TLS in VI that is currently handling French visa applications. I don’t have the address but if you check the official French embassy website for visa for Nigerians, I think they have provided the update address for TLS there.

I also have no idea with whom you will speak with . Like I said, they also had no idea about this and just went to the passport collection place and requested to pickup

Sorry the response is coming late

I’ve picked up the passport with the visa

It was 10 days validity so it expires in 3 day 🤣🤣🤭. Waste of money and effort

They also asked me to report back when o come back from my trip. So I told them at TLs that I won’t be able to travel so they noted it

I’ll apply again . Hopefully they give me . This one wasn’t my fault

Thank you Thelma , If not for your reply, my passport would still be sitting at TLS
It was issued since 5th October

I’m sorry about that Agatha sad . I really don’t know why TLS behaved this way. But I am sure you can apply again and get it provided you still meet the requirements. I’d advise you state clearly in your cover letter what happened and how you received your passport so late. This should help in convincing them to grant another one

My visa application was rejected by the French Embassy. On an attempt to submit a new application I am required to provide information about whether my biometric data like fingerprint have ever been captured for the purpose of Schengen visa. Which for me, is suppose to be yes nevertheless I was not issued a visa. On the screenshot I shared in this post, they need me to provide the visa number and I have never been issued a visa and without providing a valid visa number I wouldn't be able to submit the application again. Please if you have a good suggestion on how to go about this, kindly share with me. Thank you so much.

You need to provide the number of your first biometric of your previous application you did for Schengen visa before this current one. Look for the previous biometric slip you will see the biometric number, i think that's what the embassy is requesting for.

Judging from the format that is acceptable in that field, that biometric number on the slip do not meet the format. I have already tried that as well. Thank you so much for the suggestion. This challenge is giving me serious headache.

No you don’t need to fill that number of visa. It is when you get the visa and want to renew , the visa number that’s what you fill there. Just fill date and leave it vacant.

Good evening,
I filled a form and used the reference number for tls but realised my travel date was very close to the next appointment date so i went back and filled out a new form. Now the issue is how do i change the reference number already used on the Tls site. Please note that appointment was not booked.

First time, single entry- France.
Applied for vacation for next year February.

Did biometrics on Monday, towards the end of the day.

Just got an email to pick it up today. Less than 72 hours after.

However, I’m not in town at the moment. So, I’ll have to wait until Monday.

Will update the house on the verdict.
