The bolded is what I was complaining about last week. Even if I couldn't do it well this week, the idea was there and I had to turn to scalping Nasdaq so I could get out of DD on the darwinex challenge.
Sometimes we just have to tweak our style a little to scale through some market phases. One can't be too rigid in this business, and one can't be too flexible too. We just have to find the balance.

bro, I believe there are village people, but this your situation is clearly not village people.. it's either you're not dedicated to trading enough or you are afraid of executing your bias.. everything worth doing is worth doing well.. if you really want to be among the top 5%, you have to put trading higher in your scale of preference. how can you say you get carried away by something else? is your phone not with you? how many minutes will it take you to open your mt5 app??

as I am now, trading is like the air I breath. I don't really give a Bleep about any app in my phone except MT5 and MT4..

please set your priority Right..

The fact that 2 Nigerians have emerged 1st and 3rd, in July and September, respectively, mean a lot. Do not relent. Give it many shots as you can. It will give us greater joy to have someone here do it, as well

On a normal, the economic hardship is big incentive for success. As a Nigerian, you have only two options:

option 1 - succeed

option 2 - succeed

You have no choice in the matter.

To be able to know the difference
To be able to clearly tell what the market condition is at the particular point in time

Whether choppy, range, or trend

Still trying to understand how this darwinex works. Mind enlightening me more on it. Thanks 🙏

I have no proper idea. But I think it's a prop firm that creates a profile/journal of some sorts when you have an account with them. Either demo or live.

This profile/journal can also be shown to potential investors in case they reauire evudence of your capabilities as a trader and the analytics they provide help you tweak your style to maximize profits.

In my case for example, I've found Wednesdays and Thursdays to be my most profitable. And I noticed that while most of my trades happen at 11 am, my best trades happen between 2pm till 7pm. And over the past two weeks, I havent traded at 9pm. Not once.

Welldone Boss, seems even though you swing, you sometimes exit trades because of retracements and join again when the trend has continued. It's evident by the massive gaps between the average winning trades of $218 and average losing trades of $692, and you still ended on the positive side.

I lost so much because I was stubborn not to exit a trade even though I was sure it would retrace and take about 60% of the initially made profits before continuing with the movement.
We learn everyday, another lesson in the bag. Thanks boss for sharing this image.

Are you a Swing trader?

Are you a Swing trader?
No bro, I don't think I can stand the forth and back pips swing involved with it. I can keep trade for mostly two or three days max, and that's it. I'm not yet mentally ready for swing trading. I don't even know how to spot a trade[currency pairs] that qualifies for real swing, like 500+pips yet. I've been able to spot very few 200+pips and that's it, the 200pips even took about a week to reach there with heavy retracements here and there.

So I think I will just stuck with my hybrid dayswinging style till I reach that stage of the bosses who swings. Profitability is the essence of trading, I might just stuck with this method all my life if it yields good return year in year out.

Good evening, happy weekend to you all.

AU analysis: Weekly closed bullish with a long wick to the top and small body. Neither PWH/L were taken and this prints an inside bar while 03/11/22 low target has not been hit.

Bar chart technical are showing a strong sell, comm. are net long, while the hedging program is still at the extreme buys. IOF on the D1 is bearish from my own view. The last LL failed to take out the HH 11/10/23 which formed the low, anticipating the lows to be taken out.

October comp Returns: +16.87% but this is just floating profits as my trades are all still open and sl can be hit. If tp hits before the end of the comp, my plan is to day trade the remainder of the comp.

Congratulations realone12 for achieving that feat, happy birthday Kozmicity, gabsonfx2, from view, Us30 may likely drop to maybe MAY's low if there is no significant bullish structure shift on the daily.

Journal your trades.

abham:
Good evening all, Academic work had my attention this week as I would like to touch other aspects of life, not just forex.

Au, weekly closed bearish after D1 premium array was hit on Wednesday. Target is still 03/11/22 low with price already below monthly opening price.

Barchart are showing a strong sell, commercials are net long but the hedging program is showing extreme buying. My focus now jumps to IOF on D1. Currently, price just made a Lower High with Wednesday candle and my anticipation is price to take out the low which produced the high i.e. 03/10/23 down candle.

No trade has been taken in October comp account.

Journal your trades.

I learnt somethings in this counsel.

geedot:
Ibro, to be honest with you, you just have to admit you're not good enough yet to handle prop firm accounts. That's the bitter truth. Don't rush it, take your time and go learn and practise afresh before continuing with it.

One of the reasons I'm against those advising newbies to go live as fast as possible because demo is nonsense. Demo is not nonsense if you can program your brain to trade it like a live one. Let every loss trade pain you so much that you wanna know why it really happened, maybe your call was wrong or market just happened.

Going live few weeks or months after demoing is a recipe for disaster. You don't learn basics of a career and decided to just dive right into it without proper and adequate knowledge of different situations. it doesn't work like that.
Calm down, forex is not going anywhere, but if you trade that your account without going back to restrategize, you will blow and waste that account. I'm 99.9% certain of it.

I learnt somethings here...
I remember asking you yesterday about the small account you funded that you were gambling trading on, and you responded that it was good. But that was a lie, you've blown it.

So that's it Ibro, calm down, calm down and calm down. You need alot of calmness to handle trading profitably.
