Noted. I submitted my application for a study visa on the same date as yours, at the VFS global Lekki. I am yet to get a feedback. I checked the online tracking yesterday, it's still displaying " your application is received and under assessment at the South Africa High Commission in Lagos State Nigeria"

Good afternoon house. I applied for South Africa visit visa about 5 weeks ago in Lagos, but I am yet to get any text or acknowledgement email about my application. Please is there a way I can call or contact Vfs??

Hi everyone I am XXyrs old, please I just got a medical request and did my medicals for study Visa yesterday and I am an epileptic patient but I only have partial seizure when I don’t take my medication and it doesn’t last for 30seconds when it rarely happens. But I haven’t had it for 12years because I am under medication. Would it affect my medicals? Would my application be approved? Please guys I need an urgent response

Goodevening everyone.... I got a decision mail since on the 4th Oct but I login to DHA site there's nothing for me to download about what the outcome may be.... please what can I do? Is there anybody experiencing the samething..... pls I need ur advice thanks

It means your visa has been approved. Submit your passport for stamping.

Send them an email, you probably didn't receive any message due to network downtime. It happens all the time.

I beg to disagree with on the attitude of VFS (South Africa), Abuja Staff. They are the most polite and helpful than their counterparts handling Canada and other Schengen applications. Every single time I've gone there, they've been really helpful. They go through every single document you want to submit, and ask you to get any that may be missing.

When submitting applications at VFS, the applicant should bear in mind that the average processing time in Nigeria is three months. An application submitted earlier this year in March was adjudicated in June. Returning from SA, I submitted another application in October, and I'm not expecting a response till December. The good thing however is, I have my passport with me in case of other travels.

They do not hold your passport. You leave with your passport on the day of submission.

Secondly, do i need any other medical letter from the hospital apart from the medical form downloaded from the VFS site that has to be signed and stamped...

To be honest, any hospital will do even private. Just make sure the hospital is on the web and the doctors name and phone number is signed on the medical form & radiology downloaded. Also you don’t need any special letter, only if you are suffering from any illness which can be managed your doctor can draft a letter.

Yup, it takes up to 3 months or longer than that. Now festive period is around the corner, high volume applications will be received in which will affect the processing time too. Just give at least 3/4 months processing time before your departure time.

It can still be approved if you are lucky or rejected based on the elapsed date.
