oyichi:The supreme court is not a trial court therefore the notion of Atiku sponsoring the CSU register to come testify is mute. |

DoTheNeedful:The problem is not about the certificate being relevant or not, the problem is that Tinubu lied concerning his CSU certificate. In a serious country with serious justice system, Tinubu would have been disqualified since. Tinubu knew certificate is a ceremonial thing in US educational system, and he went ahead to forge it and forged everything wrongly and still lied to back it up, how? Tinubu told the whole world at Chatham house in the UK last year that he has received his original certificate from CSU, but then CSU said Tinubu never picked up his certificate, so why was Tinubu lying that CSU issued him a replacement certificate? This alone is a good reason to disqualify Tinubu. And all the signatories on his forged certificate were not in the positions they ascribed to them in his doctored certificate. So what are you saying? The reason Tinubu forged the CSU certificate despite attending the school is because the school asked him to take some courses, I think maths and english, and before Tinubu can receive official certificate from the school, he must present those courses he was asked to take. Another reason is, Tinubu had several cases in the US and his continued stay in the US could lead to his arrest, so he had to leave the US hurriedly, so he decided to do the certificate doctoring to be used in Nigeria since he knew he did graduated from the school, to him it didn't matter. But the truth is that Tinubu forged the certificate he presented to INEC as the certificate didn't originate from CSU |

| Re: Atiku's Lawyer Is Not Smart At All by ejimatic: 9:27am On Oct 24, 2023 |
oyichi:. There is a difference between what is acceptable in the US and Nigeria . Nigerian jurisprudence and the Evidence Act do not accept deposition in an office. Also surpporting documents must be tendered in a icourt by the authorities that produce them In this Atiku and his legal team failed. |

DesChyko:Here in the issues: 1. That is how Depositions are done in the US. But in Nigeria, the Registrar will need to come to the Court in Person. 2. In the US third party issued Certificate is as valid as the one originally issued by the school. In Nigeria, only the one given by the school is authentic. So which do you recommend the Supreme Court follow on this matter? You can't just cherry pick what suits you. If you accept the Deposition as valid, you should also accept the President as having a valid certificate since the School has already stated he was Admitted, Schooled and Graduated. |

| Re: Atiku's Lawyer Is Not Smart At All by TheOldGods: 10:00am On Oct 24, 2023 |
netpro:we are not in USA. The court will follow the rules of the land. Nigeria requires certificate from the university any outside vendor is forgery period. The CSU lady said that it's even a Nigerian thing, and that the certificate she presented was not issued by them. |
| Re: Atiku's Lawyer Is Not Smart At All by netpro(m): 10:03am On Oct 24, 2023 |
TheOldGods:Good if that is the case, then the Deposition is also not valid because it was not conducted in the Court under Oath. So Atiku appeal we will be thrown out. Tinubu remains President. |
| Re: Atiku's Lawyer Is Not Smart At All by TheOldGods: 10:08am On Oct 24, 2023 |
netpro:it was conducted under oath but NOt in a court. That's the difference. It can't be thrown out unless you're corrupt as the judges. The judges now have two documents from same CSU. |
| Re: Atiku's Lawyer Is Not Smart At All by netpro(m): 10:15am On Oct 24, 2023 |
TheOldGods:You are beginning the bend the truth. In Nigeria law the Registrar must be in court, in person - not even video call. And the other lawyer will also cross examine him. You can't go and have a chat with your guy under the mango tree and ask the Judge in Nigeria to admit it, that you both did it under Oath. The law on this matter is very straight forward. Emotional blackmail will not cut it. |
| Re: Atiku's Lawyer Is Not Smart At All by TheOldGods: 10:28am On Oct 24, 2023 |
netpro:this case was a USA case not a Nigerian case. The case was about CSU which stays in America and bound by American Laws and not Nigeria. So the case has to be done there, you can't take a registra from Nigeria as they don't posses the licence same way a judge in America can't just come to Nigeria and become a judge without Nigerian licence. The case was done in court, judge ordered for deposition under path at the lawyers chamber, in which Tinubu's lawyer did not object. |
| Re: Atiku's Lawyer Is Not Smart At All by TheOldGods: 10:31am On Oct 24, 2023 |
netpro:if what you're saying is true, then a suspect that was arrested and confesses on Live TV that they did the Crime, the court should throway the evidence and not use it because there was no registra there? So evidence from the suspect or organisation should be thrown out |

TheOldGods:Atiku wants to submit a Deposition that was gotten the American Way to be used in a Nigerian Court. But at the same breath denying that a Certificate gotten validly through the American Way to be used in Nigerian Court. |

netpro:what is the meaning of Deposition ? |
| Re: Atiku's Lawyer Is Not Smart At All by TheOldGods: 11:05am On Oct 24, 2023 |
netpro:What Atiku got was proof to help him show that Tinubu Submitted fake Certificate to Inec. Thats why, You need proof in court to win your case, Stop being Emotional about all these Things. Anything that helps you win is what you go After. And its from the official School. Its is now left for Tinubu if the court pleases to show that he can use that fake certificate regardless where he got it. Which is Impossibe to prove |

TheOldGods:In this context is simply "obtaining witness testimony" You see the meaning is not the issue. What Atiku wants to present in American law is valid. The Certificate President Tinubu of presented is valid in American law. You can't pick one and rejects the other. Whatever you pick, Tinubu wins. |

Forgery is a criminal offence. NO court whether US or Nigerian made that pronouncement. No where in court or the deposition was forgery claimed. In fact the affidavit by CSU in court was against such claims. Atiku and his new lovers obin.gos are chasing shadow but lawyers nor go ever tell them cos na money lawyers dey chase |
| Re: Atiku's Lawyer Is Not Smart At All by netpro(m): 11:34am On Oct 24, 2023 |
TheOldGods:Here is how I will summarise it for you: Atiku wants to use in Nigeria a Court process that valid in US but not in Nigeria, to rubbish a Certificate that is valid in US but not in Nigeria. No be juju be that? So, 1. If you accept all things validly gotten in the US are acceptable, the Certificate presented by Tinubu stands. TINUBU Wins. 2. If you insist only Nigerian law should be accepted, then the DEPOSITION Atiku is trying to submit for his appeal will be thrown out. Every other argument has been overtaken by events. TINUBU Wins. |

| Re: Atiku's Lawyer Is Not Smart At All by DesChyko: 11:44am On Oct 24, 2023 |
netpro:Oh, I really do not care which they pick in the end. I simply expressed my disappointment that a learned Justice doesn't know that.l, asking such questions in public. It is, as you can see, public knowledge. As for the 'diploma' saga, the school authorizes specified third-party vendors to make replacement certificates. If there is no form of verification necessary, why then do they request for the SSN of the applicant. Secondly, if indeed this 'certificate' is authorized, there are at least 5 paper trails including application and payment channels that could confirm the procurement. Such things you can't really have in an Oluwole situation. |
| Re: Atiku's Lawyer Is Not Smart At All by seunmsg(m): 12:30pm On Oct 24, 2023 |
TheOldGods:Exactly the same way our Supreme court will follow Nigeria's law by rejecting a deposition that was not done in an open court. The deposition done in Atiku's US lawyer office is useless in Nigeria and will be so treated according to our law. |

netpro:You mean Tinubu will remain president after it was discovered that he is the Guinea pig student of the Government College Lagos, who was used to test run the school four years before it was founded and also forged the CSU certificate he submitted to INEC for the purpose of the election |

netpro:And what are the facts on this matter |
| Re: Atiku's Lawyer Is Not Smart At All by netpro(m): 1:18pm On Oct 24, 2023 |
Bobloco:The facts are: 1. That President Tinubu won 2023 Presidential election. 2. That Atiku and Obi are looking for how to have him disqualified so they can have a chance to be President of Nigeria. 3. That President Tinubu was properly admitted, attended and graduated from CSU. 4. That the Certificate submitted by Mr. President is valid and authentic because it was obtained through a legal channel in the country were he studied. 5. That it is factual, fair and legitimate when the Supreme Court upholds his victory. 6. And finally, that anyone after this case anyone who questions or cast doubt on his electoral victory - such an individual is a criminal, evil, unpatriotic and an enemy of Nigeria. |
