This is the reason why I always agree to thinks David hundeyin says from his journalism. When this guy said the Nigeria air is a scam some children of lies came for him. Now who is a liar now?
What exactly is the scam?

Reading through, it's obvious FG's desperation for a National carrier created the mess.
Ethiopian Airlines do not sound committed to the idea from what their CEO is saying. They just see it as helping a beggar. It's terrible how far Nigeria has fallen

Just imagine!!

While local airlines were submitting tenders for the establishment of the proposed airline, ET was invited and given the job with total disregard to open bidding.

Why are contracts in Nigeria always embellished with fraudulent intent?

We just got saved from an 11 billion dollar wahala because some Nigerians colluded with PA&ID due to such contractual arrangements.

What that should rather tell you is that the goverment wanted to introduce something to benefit Nigerians but greedy Nigerian airlines, who enjoy the freedom to do and undo, and the politically driven media carried the gullible public away!

No sir. Govt did not want to do something to benefit Nigerians. It might sound so and look so but it is not so. A project that will benefit Nigerians will have the best interest of Nigeria at heart. Begging Ethiopian Airlines to help you float a National carrier just for the sake of bragging rights is not going to benefit Nigerians.

You dont even know you are contradicting yourself. How could local airlines be submitting tenders if the process was not open?? Was ETA the only carrier invited to participate??

Where exactly is the fraud?

How have you inferred that the sole purpose was for bragging rights??

If that was the case what would stop them from simply using one of the local carriers?

Ethiopian Airlines is a genuine world-class enterprise so the idea that it was all a charade lacks a basis in reality. Why would Ethiopian airlines risk its reputation for something so flimsy??

Thos who built the system are not in this system right now and those who are in it has refused to change it. Time changed over the years but the system remain the same.

Govt apologist hard at work selling snake oil.

When you have lied so much that the ability to speak the truth has been lost to you.

That is what makes you a good Nigerian govt apologist.

Spending millions of Naira on a logo is what is good for Nigerians.

Spending millions of dollars on a fake launch is what is good for Nigerians.

Anyway, karma will meet all of you one by one.

That thing that you all say is good for Nigeria must be made manifest in your life.

Rape, Murder, Homelessness, Begging, Hopelessness,Bankruptcy and other gifts that the government bestows upon Nigerians must also be you guys portion.

Say Amen

You people are the real problem.. You mistake support for president and parties as support for the nation when we all know the president will go and the nation will remain.. You lot are always ready to defend anything and turn around to claim and blame the same person u earlier defended with your sweat and blood.. Well we are all suffering it in the end, the only joy you have is the laugh against those I see as your enemy even when the real enemoes are those swindling us all.. Make una knotinu

Have you read the op? Have you followed the story from the beginning? Do you know why the Nigerian Airlines took FGN to court and why court granted the injunction? You're just jumping in midstream without hearing the full story and from the other side.
If you read through and you can't see Ethiopian Airlines tactically washing its hands off the project and even painting the picture of an unwilling participant who was being forced on grounds of altruism, then I don't know if you'll understand anything better.
The next question is if altruism is a good business model.

Just like government put up newspaper adverts for vacancies while those spaces are already filled up ab initio .

Hope you read where the ET executive also said he does not know whether other foreign airlines invited put up a bidding.

The process that threw up ET as the preferred investor wasn't transparent and that was why the amalgamated union of airline operators in Nigeria took the matter to court.

I tell my friends... If am president or governor

Break traffic light na, park wrongly let me see you fine 5 million if you have zero Kobo in your account it would go to -5000000

People don't respect laws they respect consequences

As a governor I would stop automatic taking of taxes from workers salary.... If them born you well no calculate the tax pay into government account

You think America can't take tax from their citizens? But everyone does tax... No do na if you stubborn

Not at all you just have a president and system that allows corruption

Nigeria system is designed that "we hope the person holding the position is not corrupt so he can work "

Instead of building a system that even if the person wants to be corrupt the system won't allow it

That's the difference between Nigeria and developing nations
You are absolutely right.
