matify83: Are they supposed to know if other invitees sent in a tender?? The process is: 1. A public invitation of tenders 2. Then screening which is an internal exercise; 3. Then publication of the successful bidder. Which part was not followed in accordance with the law? As in the Government will write to them to inform each company of who and who sent in tenders and who and how did not? That fact that ETA can confirm others were invited is enough transparency. Whether others actually responded is totally irrelevant at this stage. That is a question to be resolved by internal audit. The others too, can speak up if they were wronged. Of course, this is Nigeria so you can't rule out the element of procurement corruption at some point, but the idea that you actually believe that domestic carriers have gone to Court to stop such fraud and not to protect their business interests is laughable! These are the same airlines that constantly engage in a host of unethical practices. You kidding me? 2 Likes 2 Shares |

Kukutente23: Of course, I've followed the story from the beginning, what on earth are you saying? Do you, rather, even understand what an injunction is?? It is a mere procedural device to halt proceedings while the Court makes its substantive decision, and this is couched not on the rightness or wrongness of the actions being halted by way of the injunction, but on the fact that if the actions are allowed to continue in the interim, they may develop in such a way as to render the eventual outcome of the case pointless. So you tell, me, what on earth did you think the reason for the grant of the injunction was? It is you who obviously has little understanding of the issues. If anything, the fact ETA are showing reluctance is what ought to tell any reasonable person that there is nothing in this for them other than a simple business transaction and since it appears Nigerians don't want it why would they hang around? The next question is, why did the FG beg a reluctant ETA instead of just going for any other carrier? Is it not obvious that it was borne out of a desire to actually bring in something of quality? I don't know how or why you think this supports your position in any way. 1 Like |

mrvitalis:Totally agree with you. The present system encourages, support and exalts corruption. How on earth would a government decides to shamefully initiate and execute moronic deception of this magnitude. To what intent. Nobody is found guilty and prosecuted because the system glorifies corruption. |

SmartyPants:It is obvious you have not followed the matter from the beginning. The airlines approached the court to grant injunction not based on the fact of establishment of the airline but based on the fact that the air safety certificate was not yet granted by NCAA when Sirika went ahead to grant operational certificate to the airline. They showed evidence which NCAA also corroborated which was why the injunction was granted. Another matter was opening up the domestic space to Ethiopian Airlines when they are not even registered for domestic operations. Mind you Ethiopian Airlines run a monopoly in their country's domestic routes How can Ethiopian Airlines showing reluctance to do business be a good thing? Do you even know what you're saying? This is airline we're talking about not selling clothes in Oshodi. One mistake and iCAO withdraws Nigeria's license. So in your mind if the business was worth it and really feasible FGN will need to beg Ethiopian Airlines to join. It's Ethiopian Airlines o not Emirates or British Airways. Abeg. You obviously have little to no knowledge of what happened. You just want to defend as usual. |

The truth that reasonable people knew about the FAKE Nigeria Air that was floated by the impostor and former occupant of A$$ Hole Rock and Terrorist sponsor, Muhammad B0K0HARI, has finally being laid bare for the M0R0NS who believed the lies. I remember when I commented that it was a scam like they did before, one idiot who has no clue what Liegeria is truly about was ranting and foaming in the mouth like a mad dog. The fool fails to realize that his beloved country is not only a scam but also a crime scene. |

Nigerians, who do ona? The comments on this matter did not touch the subject at all. What the ET airline CEO narrated is clear and genuine intention from the government. Let's leave sentiment and politic aside here. The national carrier is very very important to the country and Africa in general if I may emphasize, there is nothing wrong meeting anyone for assistance if the person is verse in the thing you want to engage in. That is the scenerio here. Stop all these bad-belle and be patriotic please!!! |
