How Wike has been able to outdo Amaechi twice is surprising to me. Wike played a pivotal role in getting Amaechi out of Pdp in 2014/15. He has done the same again in 2022/23.
Can we say Amaechi is not politically smart. Wike seems to have won him in all their political battles.

Amaechi couldn't even win Rivers for Apc in 2015 and 2019.

Can we conclude that Wike is politically smarter than Amaechi?

Wike is blunt but is also a very honest and straight forward person.

If it were Wike in place of Amaechi , Buhari would have gone all the way to see that Wike succeded him.

Amaechi is not a politician. He is hard headed and uncompromising,, that's hardly the attribute of a good politician.

A good politician must have the following attributes;;

1. Kiss asss whenever necessary to get your goal.
2. Sell your soul whenever necessary to get your goal.
3. Betray anybody and any party whenever to get your goal.
4. Spend state money on politics and frivolities whenever necessary.
5. Bribe your way all through whenever necessary.

Wike did all the above with Patience Jonathan and now doing it with Tinubu.

That's the difference,, Amaechi has limits to asss kissing, Wike has no limits..

That's the difference.

So a man like Wike would always succeed especially if he's extremely ambitious..

Sure! In Politics finesse is not so needed as grits and smartness. Amaechi is low on grits.
