Well, the way I see it is simple

I know a lot of people would call me a Boko Haramist, which is amusing...I am not even a Muslim, but with people like Boko, we have two options

We can gather them in one place, and shoot all of them dead. Which is kind of what we were doing...in 2009, and video leaked out on the web, and was used by the same Boko Haram as a recruiting tool (With emphasis on the fact that the soldiers were Christians'...)

Or we can try rehab. Maybe some of them would go back, but most of them would eventually reintegrate in society.

Nigeria is not the only country that is facing this wahala. Rwanda has thousands of people who were involved in the genocide walking free. Option B was to jail all of them, which would have been beyond the country's resources, OR kill them and risk genocide rematch in the future.

Liberia and Sierra Leone had the same problem too. They could not kill all of them (some of them were child soldiers who had guns pointed at their heads and were forced to join and to kill)..so rehab, with the help of the UN. Most of them even got cash and a radio on graduation self.

We can split the country, the issue remains. That Afghanistan is run by the taliban is a nuisance to its neighbours.
