No one expected this from Ngannou. The guy's backstory and everything he's accomplished so far is nothing short of spectacular. I'm happy for him.
The whole thing is just like the Rocky movies.

Only reason it went to split decision was cos of the knockdown. Fury outboxed Ngannou clearly.

That said, Ngannou also was very very impressive👍.... particularly his hand speed and counter-punching.

very very fair. The only thing that helped Ngannou's score was the knock down. If the knockdown didn't happen, the gap on the score cards for wide and it would have been a unanimous decision.

The simple facts from the fight that I WATCHED shows

Judge A scored 95-94 in favour of Ngannou
Judge B scored 96-93 in favour of Fury
Judge C scored 95-94 in favour of Fury

Also, it certainly would have been a unanimous decision and the gap would certainly have been wider if Ngannou didn't get that knockdown. That knockdown is what really improved his scores. He fought well no doubt, but Fury fought better. EOD.

Bros leave expert talk....fury was not in form....the split decision was a face saving gift to save the fury-usyk fight in December.... Ngannou won a minimum of 4 rounds clearly including d last 2 rounds were fury was hugging him n running from him n d knockdown dat gave him a 10-8 extra point ...it was a split decision victory for Ngannou clearly bro
