Well, for the sake of argument, he didn't cover himself in glory in that first goal scored by Bellingham. I mean, the ball didn't have alot of spin. He should have punched it away instead of trying to save it. I sat close to that goal and my heart sank, when I thought he should have saved it. I don't think he was unsighted.

Every goalkeeper have their weaker side. For right-handed GKs, their weaker side is always to their left. Even, if you placed a curler to their left, they will punch it with thir right hand. That doesn't make them sh*t. It is just a natural issue.



That said, Every goalies do pass through a purple patch. Rrmind me how many clean sheets were kept by ATS last season. What of the countless number of times he has bailed us out?

I won't say we have a goalkeeping problem but it sucks to concede two goals from one chance created, in a big match like ElClásico. You expect more from your captain and your goalkeeper in these big occasions

Yeah it is all forgotten now but it is good to have these reviews. Things won't always go your way. Last season, it was Franck Kessie who stole the show and scored in extra time to win us the league. This time, we are at the receiving end of that. But there is no harm in having some introspection and trying to find reasons why things didn't quite go as planned.
