Extreme hunger doesn't respect tribe, skin colour, religion. One day the Nigeria masses who are victim of high level of corruption will rise against the political class.

Politicians should continue taking the patience of the masses for granted. That day even the security you so much rely on will fail you and you will have no where to run. Use the wealth of Nigerians for the good of all and let the masses enjoy the Country they call their own.

Lagos election and end sarz taught me this would never happen. It will go tribal with dead tribalist accusing others of trying to instigate riots in Lagos or damage Lagos economy

Nigeria is a fake identity and unity can’t be achieved by pretense.
That day you are looking for won’t come

It can never happen in APC era

That party is very crafty in wickedness

They made some idiots believe that those who support high fuel price and crashing of naira love Nigeria but those kicking against it are igbos

They will divide the agitators along tribal lines before even they start to unite. They will send mandate supporters to attack protesters .

So OP forget it.

It's not happening. Nigeria is structured in a way that leads to failure, and it's unfortunate that many people don't see it.

Take, for example, what happened during the End SARS protests. Northerners didn't join in because Buhari was in power. There was destruction in every part of Nigeria; some even resorted to acts as extreme as cannibalism. However, the moment it reached Lagos, it turned into an Igbo vs. Yoruba conflict, and everything subsided.

If you were to try to persuade a Yoruba person to support a feasible plan to remove the government or make them address the necessary issues, they might dismiss your reasoning and focus on the fact that you want to dethrone their fellow Yoruba brother, similar to what happened in the North during the End SARS protests.

Igbos would react the same way if one of their own was in power.

And it's okay; what we commonly refer to as tribalism can be seen as patriotism in its purest form. You may label what Tinubu is doing as tribalism because he is Yoruba, but imagine if he were the president of Yorubas alone. Wouldn't that be considered patriotism? The same applies to Buhari and his people, and it would be the same for Igbos if they had their turn.

You can't force different nations into one country and expect it to function, especially in Africa. Separation is the solution to our problems."

Tribalism will not let it happen cus you are part of tribalism here…..your comment is good if it comes with pure mind but NO it doesn’t.

Till we shuns tribalism then Nigerians will reason but I don’t see it happening cus most comments here are aided by tribalism.

Under Buhari, terrible eight years did you see northerners complaining so expect the same thing from Yoruba.I’m sure with Obi as president will you come out to write this,NO you will not, that’s the issue with us.

Nigeria is a failed nation.

Yes, I expected Anambra indigenes to have revolted against Giringori Obituary for looting the state for 8 years and running to hide in Lagos. But instead of revolting against their oppressor, they all ran to Lagos with him to come and sell Gala and La Casera inside Lagos hold-ups and sleep under Lagos bridges, while the rest took to drugs trafficking, and baby factory merchants

The poor Nigerians are as corrupt as the accused almost everyone is just waiting for their turn to do the corruption when given the opportunity.
Most of these Abuja big men now if you're to go back 15-20 years back many among them were poor men insulting the then leaders. Now it's their turn and see what's happening.

This is especially true during the June 12 struggle, I was surprised to see the like of Yardua fight for Abiola's mandate while Igbo were earnestly marching for Abacha.

I spite on those despicable lot.

That can't happen it's impossible

What some people consider worse conditions millions see as normal live

What extreme hunger would 12 million almageri face that would make them revolt?

We have two much differences in our value system

I saw a state that South East is the most unhappy region... At 50+%

While some regions with 90+ poverty have even higher happiness index

Nigerians can't come together

The Yoruba part of the above is not true.

President Tinubu lost Lagos and Ọṣun states in the last elections.

Oyo State currently has a PDP Governor and other states have had PDP or Labour governors in the past when AC was the defacto Yoruba party.

Also, opposition parties are still relatively strong in Yoruba states. If you look at Presidential or Gubernatorial election results, APC never gét up to 60%.

Obasanjo never did well in Yoruba states and had to resort to heavy rigging to win.

Northerners also voted President Tinubu over Atiku so even they can no longer have those allegations held against them.

Contrast all of that with what happened in the Presidential elections in the South East which was dissapointing to say the least and showed not everybody is playing detribalised politics.

Having said all that, I believe the post election sustained rancid campaign of harassment by IPOBidients as played out on social media might start causing The Yorùbá's to become a lot more tribalistic moving forward. This would be a shame and is something I hope doesn't happen.

Go and do your protest in Alaigbo, we're NOT one.

During Endsars, "CHINASA" decided to burn BRT buses in Lagos, Nnamdi Kanu ordered for every infrastructure in Lagos (and the South West) to be burned down.

The audio is still on YouTube.

Do your protest in YOUR region, and leave others to handle their leaders and their business.

WERE DEY DISGUISE.

We are not fooled.

Never again would LAGOS (and the South West) be burned to the ground.

nNigerian politics didn't start in 2015, and Yoruba people have been tribalists from the beginning. We all don't have selective amnesia; there is a pattern to what you people do. Igbos will be treated poorly until they retaliate, and then their retaliation will be used as the reason for mistreatment.

Aside from tribalism, some of you exhibit disgusting hypocrisy. You find the outcome of the 2023 presidential election disappointing because Igbos voted massively for Obi, but is it okay that Igbos are being denied the right to vote in the Southwest? Even Yoruba people that look like Igbos were not allowed to vote.
Tinubu lost in Lagos because the majority of Lagosians are not Yoruba. Furthermore, the Southeast currently has governors from different parties - APC, PDP, LP, and APGA. That is commendable.

What Igbos did in the last election is not new; they voted massively for Obasanjo, a Yoruba man, as well as for Goodluck and Yaradua from the North and South South. It was acceptable then. However, when they voted massively for Obi, their own son, it became a justification for the Yoruba to be more tribalistic.

I detest dishonesty.

The online attacks by LP youths are nothing compared to what happened in the lead-up to the 2015 election and afterward when Igbos were attacked by people from your region and Northerners. LP youths attack online, and separatists attack online and offline.

When Buhari lost election back then, his people started going to People's house to kill them and destroy their properties but that is not a reason for Yoruba people to be tribalistic.

Please don't quote me again if you're not going to be honest in your submission.

Who could have thought that End SARS, would be serious and viral the way it did, even though there was lots of hiccups along the way.

That day would come, perhaps what would trigger off that unity and one mindedness would be very insignificant then would explode into something unimaginably high.
