The never-say-never indomitable spirit of a Patriotic Nigerian prevailed once again! We did it and we did it BIG!

Thank you Asiwaju Tinubu for not letting this dream die from the initial stage that the vision carrier, Alhaji Aliko Dangote, ran to you in desperation when our late President Yardua of the PDP , revoked his successful bid for our national refineries. You assured him that Lagos will support him to realise his dream. That dream is realized today. You are truly a visionary Leader of our time. God bless you Asiwaju Tinubu.

Thank you Alhaji Aliko Dangote and your team members for this great feat.

Thank you President Buhari for approving NNPC's request to support the project with the 20% stake.

Thank you Mr Mele Kyari of NNPC and Mr Emefiele of the CBN for the relentless hardwork you both put into this project to save it from failing.

Thank you to all our indigenous banks and international banks, crude oil production companies, CBN, NNPC, patriotic public and civil servants, the great and patriotic Nigerians and lovers of Nigeria who all contributed to make this project a laudable success.

Great gbosagbosa Thank you to the Centre of Excellence, my Lagos state and in particular, Eti-osa for being a worthy host. E seun lopolopo eyin lobaloba, Ijoye ati gbogbo ara ilu Eko.

Thank you HE Babatunde Raji Fashola for your leadership in helping Dangote Refinery call Etiosa home today.

It's a feat even generations unborn will benefit from as they will not inherit the evil petrol subsidy system that nearly killed Nigeria.

To the shame of the naysayers and unpatriotic elements, Dangote Refinery made it and you lost again. All the enemies of Nigeria will lose las las, they always lose.
Congratulations to Nigeria. God bless Nigeria for ever!

About what? You are telling a man who committed to a single 19 billion dollars investment that he's confused. Some of you would just open your mouths, waaaaaah!
Re: Nigeria Brings Major Dangote Refinery To Life With Own Oil Supply by Abubatuulao(m): 6:31am On Nov 03, 2023
Let's hope this is true. That's because for so long now, we have been hearing that so-and-so will start by so-and-so date but nothing really till now.

Another thing I'm patiently waiting for is how everything is going to turn out when the refinery really starts to operate fully. Because, I read that the Dangote Refinery would sell it finished products in dollars since it is in a Trade Free Zone Area and I am wondering what kind of effect that would have on the naira and the Nigerian economy. Also, that was made public before the operations of the refinery have started in full force. What then would happen when they are operating fully?

I hope that considerations would be given to the Nigerian economy while making decisions and not just based on profit making motives alone.

But we await how everything would turn, hopefully for the best.

Throwback:
This is why our refineries never worked, electricity supply was never constant, and Ajaokuta Steel Complex never produced for a day.

We have been mapped by some gl9bal cartels as a market for their own products, so they have ensured with the connivance of local actors, that we remain hooked to foreign supply of our fuels and steel.

Just Imagine that all the Steel used in Oil Wells and Pipelines both on Surface and Subsea, and all the steel used in the construction industry, are all foreign imports when we could have produced them locally.

Yes we are a large market for those products, but a market that is catered for by a refinery or steel mill somewhere in Europe or US.

Who will break this economic colonization?
It's really crazy ... foreign hand too dey Nigeria matter

We are waiting and giving all the positive push for them to begin.

No monopoly

Their confidentiality clause na on top a probable sale on credit of crude and this should be limited to the first one year only.

It is good that Nigeria has a 20% stake so that finally a return on investment will happen not like the electricity companies who use is an a perpetual call for more funding.

Nigeria go better my bones need the sun.

Nigeria government and some other hidden investors also have a say in the refinery decision making, so it is not only Mr. Aliko that will be determining the products prices. Therefore no matter what, the pricing will still favour Nigerians.

Praying this happens ASAP. Importation of gas, PMS, other products the refinery can produce takes up around 35% of our FX demand and throw in the potential FX it stands to generate for the nation, I pray once again it works and addresses our entire FX issues that would act as catalyst that upgrades the naira once and for all
