Hezbollah chief Hassan Nasrallah's "big speech" today was a major disappointment to millions of viewers around the Muslim world. Nasrallah praised Hamas for its successful attack on Israel, hailed the casualties in Gaza as "holy martyrs" who are now enjoying paradise, and thanked the Houthis in Yemen and Shiite militias in Iraq for their sporadic missile fire toward Israel (all of which has been intercepted). There is heavy criticism of Nasrallah on Arab social media. Many expected the Hezbollah chief to officially declare war on Israel and help Hamas in its war against the Jewish state. Hamas leaders have in recent days expressed similar criticism, saying they believed Hezbollah and the rest of the Iranian "axis of resistance" would quickly join the fight after the "success" of October 7.
