There is the issue of other Ibos discriminating or marginalizing Ebonyi people. It's so bad that the former Ebonyi Governor Umahi talked about it.

If you see an Ibo hawking traffic in gala for example, other ibos would quickly tag the person as an Ebonyi or Abakaliki person. If someone commits a crime in some other Ibo states, they are quick to label the criminal as Abakaliki or Ebonyi person.
