IDF soldiers only raid West Bank houses, not Gaza. Gaza is basically sealed off. Any Israeli that steps in Gaza wouldn't last 24 hours, prior to current war, of course.

Hamas have dug underground tunnels that not only inter-connect within Gaza but connected to Egypt. That was how they are able to smuggle in weapons (in parts, I guess) and supplies through Egypt from places like even Iran.

They could smuggle in air defenses in parts too, I guess. It may not be iron dome, but something that can defend from airstrikes in a way or another. I believe China could manufacture a cheaper and smaller version of air defense system. Just my thoughts.
