BlueRayDick:the story of subsidy goes all the way back to IBB if i remember properly. like Mr Ibu, nigeria is unfortunately at a point where no matter what you do to address subsidy there will be consequences. It is what it is |

GloriousGbola:As far I’m concerned Tinubu has only come thru on his words for making a bad situation rotten . From where I stand Buhari led the country into misery and Tinubu has only continued from where he stopped . How can u promise the people renewed hope and get all u’ve done since ascension to power is continue in serious profligacy in the face of current eceonomic realities ? . The same Tinubu is appointing more ministers than his predecssors, creating more ministries , continued in borrowing to pay for frivolities like luxury vehicles , etc …. all of which are done while the common man has had his income eroded significantly . How does the government expect the economy to experience increase in productivity when a law abiding citizen like izzou is finding it difficult to cope with cost of transportation amongst other costs to continue to do business? I undertand the government will always write glossy words on the pages of news bulletin and journals talking about how “we will pull through together in this difficult times “ , but I can tell u that the common man on the street is getting the shorter end of the stick. |

Really? Like, really, you? What wahala? Incase it escaped your notice sha, I will point it out even though it probably wouldn't matter. My "wahala" comments were harmless. Very harmless at best. Is it playful ones I was making about being the first one to start a page? Or the one where I addressed a meme post? Or the one pointing out the hypocrisy of men who never take sexual harassment again their own seriously but will be wanting to freeload off of women's 'fake' activism online? For the record, I did not insult ANYBODY until someone decided to call someone stupid 😊. My comments are there. Go and check it. And maybe 'helders' may be considered an insult in some respect sha, but that one wasn't even directed at a particular person. So other than that, I didn't know it was a crime to respond to anything at anytime of the day now. Why was I ever even attributing [redacted] to you? No offense, but you should change your moniker to DesertX to truly reflect the state your intellect/head. Mtcheeeewwww. Nor be your fault. Please, off the road. |

GloriousGbola:I really do not want to debate on the merits or demerits of subsidy. Tinubu removed subsidy, then went ahead to borrow $1.2 billion dollars to share as palliatives. Are you telling me $1.2 billion is not enough to subsidise for a year, while we get this CNG stuff together? Tinubu won't revover from the mess him put himself in the next 4 years. I see people arguing dollar on binance and i laugh. Like Emaprince said, the real price of the dollar lies with the Aboki. That is where your importers go to source for dollar; Yes, the aboki without android phone and radio. |

BlueRayDick:Nigeria will soon break down completely, and this is not me being pessimistic. We are buying fuel at 620. Imagine what those in Borno are buying it. At some point, people will not be able to cope because, truly, they can't EndSARS would be child's play to what is coming |

izzou:Companies are still paying salary People are still going to work Transportation is still booming Until then I don't see any protest taking place anytime soon |

Afigba ti o pada tee X 🤣🤣🤣Because I do not expect you to be 'slying' someone you're chill with like that. Disagree and banter and all, but that? Absolutely not. It is a line I don't cross. As for you, so long as you read my hard-on-giving epistles, I am okay 🤗. |
| Re: EPL Chatroom - All Discussions by Itsrm(m): 7:38am On Nov 07, 2023 |
izzou:You sure? Be like suffer don master everybody. 655 in PH and everyone is just buying, no protests, no complaints. But they have time to organise protests in support of Fubara. The foolishness of we Nigerians knows no bounds. |
| Re: EPL Chatroom - All Discussions by Itsrm(m): 7:42am On Nov 07, 2023 |
The only effect I'm starting to notice now like someone else mentioned on twitter is, companies are seriously in need of good hands but for obvious reasons, they can't afford to pay what the good hands are requesting for. Eventually they make do with whatever they can find and productivity suffers. A recruiter recently engaged me for an interview. Asked what my salary expectations are. Told her 1.5 of what I currently earn. That was the last I heard of her. ![]() |
| Re: EPL Chatroom - All Discussions by izzou(m): 7:42am On Nov 07, 2023 |
iamoyindamola:What is the ratio of company workers, to the unemployed, students and small scale sellers? And you say transportation is booming? The riskiest business i can think of right now is transportation. Check the price of a Tokunboh vehicle and see how long it will take you to recover your capital. Let me not even start talking about how much parts are increasing by the week. A trailer suspension kit was 1,650,000, 3 weeks ago. It is 1,750,000 as at yesterday. 100k increase in 3 weeks |
| Re: EPL Chatroom - All Discussions by GloriousGbola: 7:43am On Nov 07, 2023 |
izzou:Not going to talk about dollar, but CNG has been in Nigeria since the 2010s. There is a working CNG system in Benin. The Greenville guys I spoke about were rolling out stations in 2013/14. I was actually thinking their whole investment was looking like money entering bush. Sometimes until push comes to shove people will not adopt a technology. Especially as a naija matter. |
| Re: EPL Chatroom - All Discussions by izzou(m): 7:45am On Nov 07, 2023 |
Itsrm:It will oh. At some point, this silent majority of poor people wont be able to bear it. Rice is getting to 60k per bag; this is the commonest food of the poor. The country go soon catch fire, while Tinubu is busy using compass and protractor to design CNG plant. |
| Re: EPL Chatroom - All Discussions by GloriousGbola: 7:45am On Nov 07, 2023 |
iamoyindamola:Where can I find it? Since rarbg shut down and that naija site, Nigerian content is getting harder to find esp in 1080p |

OkpaNsukkaisBae:oasis, will you let this slide? |
| Re: EPL Chatroom - All Discussions by izzou(m): 7:47am On Nov 07, 2023 |
GloriousGbola:I know CNG has been existing since I know Greenville. There is a company called PowerGas at Ikorodu. They sell CNG. I used to supply parts there but i stopped. What i dont see feasible is how these guys can provide the CNG needs of 50% of the nation. If you don't know, these guys run out of stock. |

izzou:i think thats what the whole retail upgrade program is about increase the stock of CNG available locally. there are a lot of CNG and LPG marketers out there , but they will not upscale their storage until they see there is actual demand. |

Itsrm:These are real issues. The whole japa thing is making good roles open for experienced hands but employers don't want to pay as much as they pay the person leaving the system. They want a like-for-like replacement for the openings, but they want their admin costs to miraculously reduce in view of the current economic relaities. |
| Re: EPL Chatroom - All Discussions by izzou(m): 8:11am On Nov 07, 2023 |
GloriousGbola:There are a lot of LPG marketers because we are in Lagos What about the core North and South, where you can only see LPG sellers in towns? This plan is a poorly scripted one, especially when he removed subsidy before putting it in place. |
