I drive electric. Significant adoption is also significantly linked to charging networks, and I can tell you for free that until very recently the charging infrastructure in the UN outside of Tesla's was an absolute wasteland.

To really get electric cars going, you need hi-speec chargers that can deliver a fast charge within 20-30 minutes. The most common chargers available tend to be 50kw chargers which would probably take about an hour to charge a car from 0-50%.

Last year, Tesla cut a deal with the government to open something line 19 or 20 of its superchargers to non-resla owners. I myself have used the facilities at Lakeside in Essex and Trafford Centre in Manchester, and the charging difference js like night and day.

The only other supercharger networks that I am aware of in the whole UK is the Ionity network based around the M1, in Cambridge and Peterborough and I think in Scotland.

The rest of the charging infrastructure is shared between instavolt who have a few 170kw chargers but mostly 50kw, and Gridserve who are the largest charging network provider on the highways who mostly also do 50kw, but have started rolling out a couple of 120kw charging stations.

BP pulse tend to dominate shopping malls with 7-11kw chargers that van take up to 10 hours to charge your car.

This is not then to talk about the cost of a charge. Typically you will expect to pay 69p per KwH. I drive a jaguar ipace for example, and that's a 90kwh battery capacity. Charging from 10% to maybe 60% is around £40 and 30+ minutes sitting around in a service station, sometimes in the middle of nowhere.

You couldn't even start this conversation in Nigeria. Electic cars are a flex in the country, and may likely never be a practical option there in our lifetimes.
i agree but for some reason the ceos and ogas at the top in some industries here are seriously invested in the idea of EVs. some have serious plans to deploy charging networks within capital cities. the downstream guys also want to provide support for charging infrastructure - but i have an idea how it will go [fights over operating cost bills - been there with bank atms in fuel stations] ultimately i think it will be limited to scooters, keke napep and some jerry rigged contraptions that should not be put on a public road

My bro, I promise you, it is IMPOSSIBLE for you to get charging infrastructure going in Nigeria.

How would it even work? How would you secure it. I've been sat in a charging station on the M1 halfway to London at 1am in the morning. Just me. You know that if you did that on Lagos Ibadan expressway, it's a death sentence.

The cost of setup and running versus how much to recoup. Brah forget it.

Also electric cars are NOT cheap haha. We're not talking about bottom spec benzes or ranges that get imported over to the Nigerian market. There's such a minuscule market for EVs in that country that it private investment into charging infrastructure doesn't make any sense.

I am not arguing it. But like I said some ogas at the top are seriously invested in this. What is going to happen is some Chinese infrastructure will be rolled out.

No lwhere near the cost of western infrastructure and also nowhere near as reliable. I actually made a post on this earlier this morning. Ultimately what I believe we can expect is bikes keke napep and some Jerry built vehicles that should not be used on a road.

Udogie messed the whole Tottenham team up yesterday . He has no business making that lunging tackle hoping he will get the ball before a fast sterling does .

Immediately he got that second red card he threw the rest of the team under the bus straight .

I don’t think the match is necessarily about Tottenham playing high line going forward in the match ; most of the times it was chelsea that put them in that position. A two-man deficit as early as 60 minutes is not what even a Simeone coached Athletico can survive in at that level . I give chelsea kudos for not being foolish to try to penetrate the middle but work the wings really well to get their deserved win

You see this bold is the koko, You can't survive it
But chelsea attack are clueless when you park the bus they will just be passing around
From first half this spuds coach was playing highline, jackson broke into one that was why van der ven got hamstring when he tried to recover

while i agree highline is the most intelligent way of defense because once you keep your opponent offside that is it
But you need highly intelligent and conscious fast defenders too
He should have park the bus and hit on counter, he also have a good keeper
If you notice jackson scored the same pattern of goals 3 times, ball over the head square play and shoot

Wengay torture me that year playing highline with per mertersacker and gabriel

It's very difficult to park the bus with 8 outfield players and 1 goalkeeper against a full team. The space will be so obvious for anybody to see and capitalize on.

If Tottenham had resorted to parking the bus, they would still have lost scandalously except Chelsea players are completely useless. Remember Chelsea had the luxury of bringing on as much as 5 fresh legs into the game while Totteham has already lost 2 to 3 of theirs to red cards and injury.

I disagree, surrender the midfield to them, block your defense and the remaining players should be roaming around chelsea players
Also give them room for long range shot let the keeper take his chances
They might win but not like hot knife through the butter

The Kano Hisbah, under the leadership of Sheikh Aminu Daurawa, has announced plans to facilitate marriages for TikTokers in Kano, along with providing support for their business endeavors.

This initiative was unveiled during a meeting convened by the Hisbah to offer guidance to TikTokers on improving their moral values.

At the onset, Murja Ibrahim Kunya, a TikToker known for her controversial content that frequently stirs debate in Kano state, and other popular tiktokers, were invited to the Kano State Hisbah Command’s headquarters for potential rehabilitation on Monday, November 6th, 2023, at 4 pm.

The invitation issued by the Deputy Commander-General of Hisbah, Dr Mujahid Aminuddeen encouraged the attendees to bring their educational and business certificates, ensuring their identities remain protected by covering their faces.

The primary purpose of this gathering is to offer support to those interested in receiving assistance from the state’s governor, Abba Kabir Yusuf.

The Tiktokers in overwhelming numbers attended the meeting dressed in full traditional regalia and covering their faces with Niqabs.

Speaking while unveiling the scheme the Commander-General of Hisbah board Sheikh Aminu Daurawa, said “We are willing to give you all the necessary support to live a sustainable life, those of you that have fiancees or are interested in marriage we promise to organize a grand wedding and take responsibility for all the expenses.”

He also advised the popular TikTokers Murja Kunya and others in attendance on how to improve their morals.

Sheikh Daurawa said that all TikTok users who need capital support, should write a business plan and submit it to the Hisbah board, if they are satisfied with the information they have provided, the Kano government will support them with capital.

This initiative, which has gained approval from Kano Governor Engineer Abba Kabir Yusuf, is designed to assist youth in the region and promote moral growth.

The TikTokers responded positively to the offer and engaged in discussions with senior Hisbah officials.

To demonstrate their commitment to this endeavor, the Hisbah provided N2,000 transport fare to TikTok participants in these discussions.

This surprising partnership between TikTokers and the Kano Hisbah is a unique and unexpected move aimed at empowering the youth and enhancing moral values within the local TikTok community

EPL is real Football , not Playstation bro.

Any team either big or small that gets two red cards in a match against a top team will suffer whether they play highline or park the bus. Park the bus will not yield any different result from that high line. Do u know what u are suggesting they do here?

You are asking them to surrender their midfield and block their defence? grin How many players will block their defence out of the 8 outfield players? How many will be roaming around chelsea players who have 2-man advantage? You will be surprised they may concede as much as 3 penalties cos when u have dribblers like Sterling and Jackson cutting inside ur already tired defenders, they will just keep making that Udogie kinda lunging tackles even in the box.

U see ehn, when it rains it pours. The only way Tottenham could've gotten anything out of that match yesterday was if Chelsea was completely useless or some Sheffield united. I'm sure going forward the Tottenham coach would've learnt his lessons. He would most likely lecture his players on how to mitigate losses before things go further south.

Ofcourse they will lose that match
The highline was a stupid decision not a wise one that's the point i am making
Even chelsea fans were angry with the result because that highline should have gotten them goal every minute

It was not a stupid decision; at least not how you're putting bad.

His highline decision was his form of defence. 2 red cards would definitely make it rain; just a matter of "when"

Ange just wanted one extra goal before he locks his shop for the night. Remember that Chelsea was playing nonsense, so it was possible.

The only place i blame him was that he forgot Chelsea cannot do anything against a low block setting. Parking bus would have guaranteed him 1 point.

But then, no risk, no reward.
