Hello everyone, so I just finished the FSI course on Hausa language and I am going through it a second time but when I tried listening to stories and interviews in Hausa, I feel I am miles away from comprehension and fluency. Even with subtitles, I pick some short statements but sometimes I am completely lost on how the formation of Grammer works in these videos because it wasn't exactly what I was taught.. So I just want to know if there's anyone that have acquired Hausa language and what are the practical steps to help me achieve my goal. I base in the South and I study Hausa for at least an hour a day. |

Crossbow:Locate an area/settlement where Hausa people are based and spend sometime with them speaking and interacting with it Anywhere Hausas congregate, they speak Hausa and with regular engagement between you, you'll brush up quickly All the best |

IMEI:Thank you Sir.. I had this plan all these while but no time for socialization because of work. I need this knowledge for some future projects so I will carve out time during weekends. I am actively looking for friends online too |
