Joe Ajaero took special interest in Imo State because it is his state. He wanted the labour issues in his home state to be resolved being the NLC president. The timing was to utilize the election to force Gov. Uzodimma's hand. He did nothing wrong to deserve the brutalization.

'Gross violation of Nigeria labor laws by employers and corrupt practices on the part of administering authorities.' Guess what, the govt is the highest employer of labour in Nigeria, and Joe Ajaero was there to protest the violated rights of Imo State workers as enshrined in the Nigerian Constitution! Check your 'blame the victims' mentality and quit siding with oppressors because you're far removed from the consequences. If the govt can openly assault a national Labour leader without consequences, what do you think would be the fate of the minimum wage worker in that State??
