Not a single one of them is acting like who has lost a loved one. No thought for the future of his kid, they're instead just bickering over property and what who and who should inherit! Shameless people ![]() |

mariahAngel:African parents usually like to take possession of their grand children's umbilical cord so as to dispose it properly according to customs and traditions. There's a way and manner in which it must be disposed to avoid stories that touch in future. I think the only mistake some parents make is not showing their children (the newborns parent) how to do these. In my own case for example, my dad made sure to bury my first child's umbilical cord in my presence. That is after showing me what it contains and how it should be treated. But for my second child, I did it myself (having learnt from the first). Let me give you a bonus point. In Yoruba land, it's a taboo for a newborn's umbilical cord to be devoured by a dog. Or for the umbilical cord to be buried alongside the nylon (wraps). Where such happens, there are serious implications. I would have said it but we have a lot of 'woke' generation here and me I don't like to be misquoted because I get hot temper. ![]() |

Every family has their own I beg. They do not need to air every drama and issues in their family online. The son will grow up someday and all these public washing in public domain might affect him. |

While I won't pass judgment on anyone, I will tell you unequivocally that you should tread carefully in situations like this to avoid coming across as naive to others who read your comments. The man's reasons for not liken you are very much in line with his culture. Before mohbad passed away, you took him away a long time ago. As a Yoruba man, you and your so-called husband damaged his reputation by telling him you were having an introduction and then changing it without telling the poor father about your foolish plans. I'm not sure about the customs of other tribes. What could be more degrading than that in Yoruba culture? .may be in other tribes cultures that will slide, but not in my culture. And the reason you and your husband did that was because the man was not rich enough to give instructions on what he wanted for his son and how he wanted it. I'm not blaming you for this, but it's his son who trashes his father over a girl who can mess him up anytime in the future. Okay, let's say your understanding was not up to that level. What about your parents? Are they not Yoruba, and do they know the meaning of what they just did? talking to you wunmi. When I hear about people talking about a father who has done so much for his son and is now a villain in his own story as a result of what transpired, it hurts me deeply. When nobody else came to beg Naira Marley, this man went to his house slowly. The videos were shown to us. When he had the option to act irresponsibly like some other individuals, he sent him to school. There are people here that talk a lot but don't consider the customs and values of other tribes. A man whose second wife left him because he made the decision to prioritize his kids over her. The son messed up his dad so badly that, forget anything that other people are saying. I have a son and a daughter, and I will never tolerate my son dictating to me what I am supposed to do as a father, as my custom insists. and I will never, as a Yoruba man, allow my daughter and her husband to dictate what they want when that role is meant for the entire family to decide, with the husband family doing the most part of that decision of what should be either introduction or engagement. The destructive nature of the family is demonstrated by Wunmi's parents' participation in Mohbad's life. In addition to being asked to take a DNA test, Wunmi is still searching for ways to outsmart her doubting family and other intelligent Nigerians. I desire peace in her family and justice for Mohbad. but, don't come to me and tell me, nevertheless, that the father wants his son's properties and that he is pursuing to get them. That matters to no one. Mohbad has a sibling, and if the son isn't his, the father can use the funds to raise his sibling to a level above his capacity. As said earlier, Mohbad betrayed his father. The manner in which HE passed away hurts me. But keep in mind, he acknowledged that he was into Yahoo Yahoo himself, wether he hammer or not he has a potential of a criminal minded person right?God is not a sleeping God ooo. who knows people who have cried as a result of him and his friends wiping out someone account as a result of their fraudulent act. either he did it directly or indirectly he ate from someones sweat which was not given by the person. and he could not advice his accomplice that what they are doing is wrong. GOD IS WATCHING. Wunmi The dad feels obligated to use whatever means necessary to safeguard his son because of the profound impact your family has made on him. When his son becomes a father, a Yoruba parent will first ask you how you handled the plancenta. He requested with great reason. Because you can be inexperienced and misunderstand its significance, some dads choose to handle it themselves. I love my late dad and my mom so dearly because of what they meant to me. and they have cared for me so much from my cradle to my adulthood, and my mom still does. I love my mother-in-law too, with deep respect. But I looked into the eyes of my wife, and I told her repeatedly every time that if you dare disrespect my mother by anyways, I swear before God and man that I will never ever forgive you, and that is the truth about me. Funny enough, not even my mother can beg me to forgive you. I won't, period. because no matter what, I will never disrespect her mom too. No matter what. And that is what my culture and values have taught me growing up as a Yoruba man. My mental tranquility is here. IREEEOOOOOO |

Placenta is used by wicked African parents for voodoo, witchcraft manipulation, sorcery, enchantment against the child, mother and father of the baby, it is a high level demonic manipulation sad Sir, and they are not used by even the parents of the child. Please stop this wrong notion. One day you will grow old, and your children will feel this way about you if you have questionable character. An evil person is an evil person. I will continue to say that Mohbad messed up big time. |

Why are you women so selfish, A man did not love his son enough, when the son made a song clearly praising and thanking his father for staying with him and providing for him. The mother on the other hand left him for 10 years and left him with a non-caring step mother. I think you guys need to wind down your hypocrisy, the world doesn't revolve around you! mariahAngel: |

Addme:The Yorubas believe that if the placenta is not well disposed and a dog gets to eat it, such a child will turn out wayward. Hence the saying; 'Aja gbe ibi re je'. Secondly, if one buries the placenta with its wrapper (like a thick polythene bag) and it doesn't decompose on time, it could lead to different health challenges in the newborn (spiritually though). The placenta is meant to be buried deep under the soil where it will eventually decompose to become soil. Thirdly, if one handles the placenta carelessly and it gets to the hands of ritualists. E don finish! I believe I've been able to shed more light on this? ![]() |

AngelicBeing:I believe the practice has held so many people tied to some deity. Many do it without knowledge of how it came about, or why it was done in the past. We should ask questions before doing certain things. |
