My wife suddenly presented a non-original transfer of ownership of land brought in her name and in their town claiming it was a surprise. Now as a married man or about to get married, what would be your reaction if such is presented to you? Would you start developing on the land or shun it?
Remember the land was brought in her name and in their town( we are from different state)

Please, don't do it.

Let her tell you the true story behind that land.

God forbid. She will end up chasing you out of the house. And there is nothing you can do because it's in her name.

Buy your own land and develop it, nobody knows tomorrow... only God knows!!

Most of cases am attending as a legal custodian of a recent range mostly on divorce and marriage separation... peace!!!

The high time we understand marriage is an contract and can be terminated at any given time, the better for us.. peace once again!!!

It's a simple matter change all title documents to contain the name of both of you or better still buy a plot of land in your name and develop.

Since she has the money to buy land in her place

I think you can still convince her to another land in the area you guys want to settle down

So that you can build and pack into the house to save rent

If she brings up the issue of the one she already have in her place

Tell her the city one is more important where you guys can know leave

She can as well sell that one to get the one in the city

But if she refuses, leave her alone
