The creeks and lagoons in Lagos and Ogun State are usually infested with water hyacinth from around October till early February. The weed often makes water transportation very difficult.

The Lagos State Waterways Authority (LASWA) clears the waterways using these aquatic weed harvesters and manual labour. The water hyacinth is then recycled.

I’d flown on air many a time; I just have that phobia for water. May be I was among the passengers inside Titanic during my first life.
