The Nigerian second-tier league will kick off on Saturday.

The Video Assistant Referee (VAR) has finally landed in Nigeria as it was tested in the Nigeria National League (NNL), preseason game in Katsina.

VAR was tested first time in History at Katsina State in Sarki Umar Farouq Stadium Daura at the Friendly Match between NLO side Junior Danburam and the Giant killers of Dutse, NNL Campaigners Jigawa Golden Stars on Friday.

NNL Season Kicks-Off Today In Lafia
The 2023-2024 NNL season will start today at the refurbished Lafia City Stadium between Nasarawa United and Zamfara United.

It will be recalled that Nasarawa United was among the four clubs from the NPFL that were relegated to the lower division at the end of the 2022/2023 season.

Meanwhile, only the match at the Lafia City Stadium will take place as all other Week One matches will be played on Saturday, November 18.

The VAR room is very dark. There was no light when this report was made, and diesel is very expensive, that's why they couldn't afford to show us the room.

Even in NPL that we have TV coverage,today and tomorrow is March Day 8 and we have had just 3 away wins in all.
How do we now monitor NNL that have no coverage at all.
Anyway,we wait and see.
