Democracy is not dead in Nigeria.

Democracy has issues that can be fixed. Thugs have hijacked our democracy.

Just like the group suggested, an independent auditing company should have real-time access to INEC data during elections.

Just like Deloitte does to BBNaija, they should review the electoral laws to engage auditing companies that will work with INEC. The company will also ensure that all the big sums INEC usually ask for during elections were actually spent on the right purpose.

Finally, those caught stealing ballot boxes should be shot on sight. Arresting them is just unnecessary.

This is something that PDP, LP and other popular APC legislators owe the country.
Before you know it, Atiku will but 5 auditing firms in his cousin's names and use them to submit bids.

The group said by permitting the bypass of the BVAS, INEC has effectively rolled back the gains of electoral reform recorded in recent times.

We are in a state where poverty has taken over and people will sell their blood for money , now tell me how wount Dey sell thier vote when they know the person that might get wil also do nothing why stress yourself for nothing, the reason thier is no vote buying abroad is because they can easily go and work and make thier money . But in nigeria that’s not the case so till eternity vote buying will always happen , and people will always cause violence for money .

Nah, the world has 4 major auditing companies: Deloitte, KMPG, PricewaterhouseCoopers (PwC), and Ernst & Young. Any of those who be hired to do the job because they are reputable organisations.

The winners just out rigged, out bribed and out ‘corrupted’ the losers!
Nigerians are all the same, so I don’t pity them. The people crying foul play now will do exactly the same or worse if they get power too.
Nigeria is an irony! I have never seen where a severely unrighteousness people demand a righteous country, an ungodly people demand a godly government or country, a corrupt people demand a corruption free society …! Only Nigerians are so delusional and entitled to demand such.

Oga, I am after solutions. If you think my solution won't work, suggest a better solution.

If you cannot suggest a solution, get off my mention because you are as useless as the K in knife.

Na wah oh! When Buhari won in 2019, you people said democracy was dead and buried, in feb 2023 you said democracy was buried, PEPT again democracy was buried, Supreme Court democracy was buried. Now again you are talking of final burial. How many times do you want to bury democracy? Meanwhile you will carry voters card in 2027 and collect money from fellow mugus for another “final burial” when you lose another election without strategic planning. Abeg let democracy breathe jare.

There is a saying that when evil is allowed to stand it will eventually be a way of life of a people. Nigeria as presently constituted is not designed to work. Each subsequent elections seem to be worse than the previous one just like the case we have with leadership where each succeeding government turns out making the previous ones look like saints.
Plunder is our way of life as a people. Unfortunately the judiciary that is supposed to be the bastion of sanity in this vignette of madness our country has become are the ones twerking vigorously to the drumbeat of doom that is pervading the entire nation. The madness did not start today. The PDP started it and now Apc is doing an excellently devilish work of it.

It's a joke.

The real problem with the Nigerian is that we barely think beyond our next meal. We give no thought to the long term (eg 50 years) effect of the careless things we do now. We believe we can commit any atrocity and go back to the Middle Eastern God and get forgiveness. This is also why we beg and vilify people that we have erred against.

Ban religion in Nigeria and replace it with a functional penal system and see things work.
our law is not working & our rich are above the law not religion

What you have in our nation right now is criminocracy. A government of criminals, desecrators of the constitution , certificate forgers, drug dealers , hijackers and all kind of criminals.

Executive, judiciary, legislature , Inec, institutions, etc . It is a complete criminocracy takeover.
Nothing good can ever come out from these criminal set up.

Can't you see the country is in complete shamble. Nothing is making sense as a nation.

Truth be said, if nothing is done urgently, Nigeria is heading to total collaspe.
You just nailed the truth.

Check the comment again. I saw this question coming and updated my comment.

In 1999, the electoral law didn't recognise tech-driven voting. Today, the law does. Omo-Agage and his committee reviewed the electoral laws and gave us what we have today. It can be better. All politicians aren't as bad as we think they are.
And the same constitution adjudicators..... Buried it on the 26th October 2023, what we have are rogues parading themselves all gains made through PDP electoral reforms earlier have gone to ashes
Re: Conduct Of Imo, Kogi, Bayelsa Polls, A Major Setback – Situation Room by spiSeyi:
Democracy is dead because they are not winning grin , a political party without a party structure is dead undecided .
The problems with major opposition parties are a lack of structures and internal division, APC will continue to rule and win as long as the opposition parties fail to realize their mistakes.
1. APC is known to be a progressive party and it can be seen in their modus operandi, party chairman from North, President from South.
2. You can never heard of APC faction even though their might be rift among them.
3. APC is ever ready to support their own in any contest with mobilization of funds to logistics, grassroots politics, legal works and securities at every level
4. APC is well organized and planned by selfless political leaders, you might not like PBAT and the likes of Gaduje but they are selfless for their party members.
As for PDP Greed, division, and selfishness are those things that is holding them down undecided
And LP is not a serious contender, no structure, no ideology, divisions (Apapa fraction and Abure fraction) no grassroots politics everything is social media, the reality of Nigeria political scene is far from Labour party grin.
APC is the only party in Nigeria as we speak cool
