Yes, brilliant as said by someone up there. But there is one unsettling fact. Our mainstay remains fossil deposits. What happens in the broader picture of the world shifting away to cleaner energy sources without diversification of our economy? Collapse? We need to be out thinking. Nigeria as currently run with pile of debts is not productive or sustainable. It's bound to reach a blind wall one way sooner unless God anoints less selfish and people friendly leaders in Nigeria.
We are already hitting the rock things would turn

DEY PLAYYYYYYYYYYYYY grin grin cheesy
Toh, ask me O! A country that can't boast of 18 hours uninterrupted power supply wants to run electric buses

A country that feeds on oil products is buying electric vehicles (It barely produces 12,522 MW of electricity).
I promise you, these electric cars will be the death of Nigeria's economy.

The non-oil-producing countries are looking for alternative energy so they can stop depending on oil which will have a massive impact on our economy.

Other oil-producing countries like Saudi Arabia and Qatar have seen this and are now diversifying their economy by building various tourist destinations and other sources of income, while Nigeria is swimming in a pool of foreign debt.

If you are wise, you will know that the import of electric vehicles in Nigeria is a f00lish move.
One poverty-distressed fool up there says it's an 'absolutely brilliant execution'

This is an absolutely brilliant execution. The two buses for the pilot phase are currently feeding data for the implementation of the next phase of 50 electric buses and before the end of 2024, the buses will be further increased. Awesome!

This is truly a great opportunity for every investor to key into the value chain of this next level of public transportation.
Invest in Lagos and the neighbouring SW Nigeria states for great ROI and best investor friendly experience. Check my signature for free stuffs!
Werey. 50 bus for how many people
Who will invest in any other state than Lagos in SW. YOU BE WEREY

Don't worry for us, we have various IPP in place and they're already serving different locations/projects 24/7. The latest in town is powering the LRMT blue line rail as we speak.

Even though it does not concern the I.pobs, you will see them complaining now grin
As usual, they're already around complaining. They don't like us, they hate our heritage but they're always the first TO COMPLAIN THAT WE'VE TAKEN BAD DECISION ANYTIME WE PLAN PROGRESS.

So many ignorant ediots have a lot of comments in this thread.

I don't know why people always feel obliged to give their retarded opinion on topic they literally have no idea about.

Just criticize for the sake of it. It's almost like a curse.

celebrating mediocrity when you can have ten times those startups is pathetic. Get rid of corrupt police and thugs so Lagos can attain beyond 5% of its potential.

How is it a foolish move to import electric cars.

Weather Nigeria like it or not, weather we import electric cars or not , the world wld still move away from petrol products to a cleaner energy source.
"Cleaner energy source" you way, this is what they use to deceive the gullables.

You have plenty of coal and hydro energy to generate power and be self sufficient but someone who doesn't have any of these is asking you to abandon them and use his "clean energy" and you say it's the way to go?

Have you thought about the impact this will have on Nigeria's economy?

This clean energy they are talking about is nuclear energy, how many scientist do you have in Nigeria to generate nuclear energy?

Do you have uranium in Nigeria to create nuclear energy?

If you don't know, Nigeria is considered a terrorist state like Iran and co, do you think the west will allow Nigerian to have a nuclear plant?

Think, think, think...

You made examples with 2 countries where they run closed society, they only consider their citizens in their GDp ratings and welfare, while the foreigners that outnumber their indigenes are regarded as expatriate. Well, Qatar is still recovering from the world cup, the country is almost grounded and they are at the moment milking funds from everywhere possible, many expatriates losing their jobs daily since the end of world cup...yet cost of living is on the rise. Every facility built for the world cup are now redundant, so many accomodations are empty, some, since 2013 - 2015 that they have been built....Malls shutting down, businesses closing up, etc make examples with tcountries you truly know something about them or live or have been there
