Unlike workers in private sector whom their employer can wake up one morning and fire them and NO court can compel that employer to take back the sacked worker, Government workers enjoy what we call employment with statutory flavour.

It means their mode of hire and fire is controlled and managed by laid down laws and statutes, and collective bargaining which strike is one of the tools of collective bargaining is enshrined and respected by labour laws.

So NO! They can't be fired by the government for striking.
