I trust my Naija peeps, anyone from abroad that is seen with even Gucci or Balenciaga singlet sef, go collect wotoporiously if e no buy drinks enough! Last December I told Emeka that the rider had disembarked from the horse on the Polo he gave to Tamuno, and they were now looking more like a Fulani herder with his cow. Instead of investigating to find out why Ralph Lauren would make a shirt with such a disagreeable pair on it, e begin dey order more drinks and I immediately shut up. Breeze haf blow and the fowl's rear end is in the wind! E be somethings e be things. grin grin

Quality control. Original is original and fake is fake no matter how original it looks.

USA don't accept imitation.

I'm not surprised... the "Africans" would be selling the fake products on the street ... all on display on a table as if the bags and stuff are the original and they are licensed to sell them. The "Chinese" sell the same but they do so on the down low ... they do not have the product on display... they operate pretty much like drug dealers ... in the shadows... Canal Street is their center ... the "runners" be standing around or figure out you're looking for fake stuff and ask "what you looking for?" ..."Gucci belt" ... he slips you a thin catalog ... "see what you want" and walks away. Catalog has everything and prices... he's watching you from afar... when you're ready he returns... you show him/her what you want and how many. "Wait here"... and he's gone. Like 15 minutes later ... a different person usually looking poor with a bag ... as he passes says "Gucci belt? ... follow me" .. and he leads you off the main to a wayyyy less busy side street ... gives you the bag ... asks you to check... and walks off a bit. When you're done.. and satisfied ... he collects the money and disappear. This is how they operate and the Police have hell in busting them.

Police most likely been targeting these guys a while ... buying from them ... get their trust ... until they locate the warehouse. They will destroy the stuff.

Those two culprits are either Senegalese or Gambian immigrants. A lot of the Senegalese live in the New York area and right across the border in Quebec. Akon and his Senegalese folks are enterprising people though and they go into trading and owning businesses when they arrive in the U.S. or they drive taxis for some time as well.

What's the crime here?
The trafficking of counterfeit goods is anything but a victimless crime because it harms legitimate businesses, governments, and consumers,” NYPD Commissioner Edward Caban said in a statement.

I disagree bro...U can't compare original jacob&co wrist watch with a fake..or an original rolex with a fugazy. No match.

The same materials, the same designs.
Only that one set is not made under contract.

A bag costs about $30 to make but sold for $3000 because it has a brand name and the cost of advertisement/marketing passed on to customers.

Of course unscrupulous businessmen and sometimes the manufacturing company will try to play fast one on brands.

Did they tell time differently?

that's the point, it all has to do with placing value to reap money wasters.
