Stoplying:
I don't dwell in fairytales of which oranmiyan, ogiso, igodomigodo, oduduwa... oral history ...are examples.
The only truth is Benin empire. I understand why people with no history would be making fake history, aka "oral history". But Benin has a real history and doesn't need a fake one.

And who said Benin empire was not real ?
What’s the argument exactly and why did you jump on my conversation with another individual to drop the word “stupidity” ?

Why are Rivers governors always loud, crass and confused? You don't see Delta or Ibom governors act like these guys. All the was from Amaechi, they never shut up and work. Always saying one immature thing after another.

I'm Igbo and I don't care what this foolish man wants to call himself. Every second governor will say they are Igbo every third will say they're not. Nobody is askikg them. Meanwhile their mates are developing quietly like adults
.
My brother you of all people should know what is going on here with these Rivers state governors.
Igbo is a factor: a POLITICAL factor in Rivers state. It is not the same in Delta and Akwa Ibom states.
Having said that though, ever since I watched the video of a Syrian man in Turkey who is married to a Yoruba woman, but is selling Nigerian food stuffs, I came to the conclusion that Igbo is the most "factored" group in Africa.
The Syrian man calls himself Emeka, and speaks some igbo and pidgin english, but has never set foot in Nigeria.
Why did he give himself an Igbo name, and speaks some Igbo even when married to a Yoruba woman from Oyo?
That is "Igbo factor" at work.
A day is coming when the whole of Africa would happily identify as Igbo in honor to this greatest African ethnic group. cool
Na time.

Clean , clear cut central igbo. I understand him clearer than Ebonyi, Ngwa, owerri igbo. Even my own igbo dialect is not this central like his.
Which one is Ebonyi?
If you don’t understand Abakaliki dialect you should have said so, why didn’t you use Abia instead of Ngwa and Imo instead of Owerri?
Don’t be silly bro

Doing away with drug trafficking alone would solve at least 60% of igbo's reputational problem.

The funny thing about Igbo slave trade is, the minority tribes that surround us were used against us, not so much Igbo selling but rather Igbo kidnap.

The Oba of Benin showed up in the area from ile ife around the sametime dealing in Human Cargo.

Oba with the itsekiri conducted raids into Anioma.

On the otherside, we had the Obong of Calabar and Efik slave raiders that joined with Arochukwu to raid Igboland for slaves.

The Aro are mixed with Ibibio and they were the only igbo group involved in slave raids.

Then the British brought Ogoni's from Ghana to aid their access into Igbo hinterland and slave raid.

The Ijaws were kidnaping and active at slave ports, used for holding the slaves.

This is what happened in our region.
Another funny thing is how you Igbos never want to take responsibility but always looking for ways to blame other people. Few years ago, Dillibe Onyeama the brother of the immediate past foreign minister was in the news confessing that his grandfather sold his fellow Igbos as slaves.

Also, another Igbo journalist Nwaubani made similar confession but here you are, blaming everyone else but yourself.

Being Igbo himself he should know that states are artificial or is Ebonyi not a state like the rest of other states.

Below is from the article you referenced.

The only part missing is the slave port of Warri.

Igbos were shipped from 3 differnt locations, Bonny, Calabar and Warri.

Nwaubani Ogogo's slaves were sold through the ports of Calabar and Bonny in the south of what is today known as Nigeria.

People from ethnic groups along the coast, such as the Efik and Ijaw, usually acted as stevedores for the white merchants and as middlemen for Igbo traders like my great-grandfather.
What she said is in line with my submission, if you do your reading.

Besides, what she really meant was her Grandfather was a criminal slave raider, that was involved in Kidnaping across Igboland.

Alot of this people are just attention seekers trying to capitalise and monitise the attention they recieve and no truth to what they say.

I did mention the Arochukwu as being involved.

Certain criminal elements from surrounding communities may have joined.

You're getting old with grey hairs yet still talking like a baby. Fubara, governor of Rivers State, on his own volition, stated his Igbo heritage yet you're here talking rubbish.

How dif it now become seeking validation?

That's not central Igbo
He's mixing a slight of Ndoki and Asa... He's mixing more of Ndoki.... Ndoki and Opobo are slightly related. My friend from Opobo speaks Ndoki Abit too.... So, when people that ain't from Rivers talk about Igbo this and that in Rivers, it's always funny to us that our maternal home is from that axis. Rivers has a place called Oyigbo. This Oyigbo has more of oil wells ( if I'm not mistaken ) than so many noisy parts of Rivers state. From Afam , egberu down to Afam ukwu has more of oil deposits...
Ikwerre minority (obio Akpor) are the greatest noise makers. Non ikwerre Igbos are larger than ikwerre, have more oil and have access to the sea, yet backwards obio Akpor are the ones making all the noise

Why are you quoting me you pained and frustrated soul ?

Your post means nothing . Slave trade happens all over the world. How did yoruba slaves end up in Brazil if they were not sold by their own kith and kin ? Yea you sold your own people to the Portuguese .

You’re mad that your kinsmen are diluting their bloodline. Our DNA is all over your population whiles ours remain pure . So who is the master here ?

Yea you wanna talk , I’m ready for you . Some of you think you have a monopoly of trash talk . I’ll give you the reality check that’s long overdue

I understand entirely. Igbo is the origin of many african groups. The amount will shock anyone. My post is to take nothing away from Igbo people. I'm specifically asking why River State only has foolish loud crass people as governors? I'm not even against Fubara saying he's Igbo, but Wike says he's not, Amaechi says he is, Odili says he's not, and this is not a mark of shame for them. And they must come and announce it. I personally know all of these men are Igbo, so whether they say it or not is their business. What I don't understand is why Rivers politics is dominated by clownish people.

I'm from Imo state anyways, and we're not much better. Maybe it's an education thing.
