Yossi Yehoshua, a military analyst, on the fuels for Gaza: 1. Israel agreed with the US and Egypt to allow 60,000 liters of diesel per day to enter through Rafah. For the sake of comparison and proportion - normally 6.8 million liters of diesel per week enter the Gaza Strip. 2. In the last 48 hours, all of the UN's fuel stocks in Gaza ran out. This means a humanitarian crisis - because if there is no fuel, there is no way to operate the water pumps in the Strip, there is no way to operate the wastewater treatment facilities, and there is no way to operate the hospitals This is a catastrophe that would have required the IDF to stop the maneuver. 3. The IDF operates according to international law. And according to international law, it is impossible to manipulate while there is a humanitarian crisis, which includes the lack of water, closed hospitals and sewage flowing in the streets. 4. The IDF must complete the maneuver in order to collapse Hamas. There is no other way. And in order to complete the maneuver, you have to swallow the frog and put in the diesel that prevents a humanitarian crisis in the Gaza Strip. |

IDF fighters destroyed a central outpost for the production of munitions of the Islamic Jihad terrorist organization in the Gaza Strip, which contained unique weapons Soldiers of the Reserve Armored Battalion (9215) and soldiers of the Yehlam unit broke into the post of the commander of the northern region of the Islamic Jihad terrorist organization in the early hours of the morning yesterday. The post is a significant asset for the organization's production of weapons. ‼️ The decision to bow to American pressure and allow two tankers of fuel to enter Gaza every day is causing a crisis in the wartime unity government. The government had previously vowed to not lessen the pressure on Hamas and Gaza one bit until all the Israeli hostages were unconditionally released. Now it has agreed to a small fuel allowance that many fear will grow to larger daily supplies, providing a lifeline to Hamas. The few members of the "war cabinet" insist this is necessary to buy international tolerance for Israel's continued war on Gaza. But the broader cabinet is furious, and some are calling for Netanyahu to step down. Meanwhile, Arab media reports the fuel deliveries are part of a larger deal that will also see Israel agree to a 3-day ceasefire and release 50 jailed Palestinian terrorists, in exchange for the release of 50 Israeli captives. This is a game the government previously insisted it wouldn't play. The only explanation for Netanyahu going back on his word is American pressure. IT |
