The military has its own law enforcement departments which the EFCC should have worked with from the start of investigation.

If the individuals are then found guilty they can only be handed over after being dismissed from service.

The normal thing is to investigate first. Detention for interrogation is at the point of sufficient evidence to warrant such.

You just don't go about arresting military personnel and by so doing pulling them out of duty without the knowledge of their service. The implications are serious.

Military personnel involved in civil matter are tried by civil court even if they are still serving. Military court martial is when their actions is inline with their military work

The EFCC knows that after arresting the air force personnel they should have informed the military police and handed them to the MPs for court martial. They had no right not even the Nigerian Police has the right to hold on to a suspect. They thought it's the laws they keep breaking by breaking into peoples homes without warrants that they can exert with the air force.
