FreeStuffsNG:
“And because they desperately wanted a governor in Kano State, the party gave them a ticket to contest. But they made a serious blunder because when they joined the party, INEC had closed submission of nomination forms. But they were blind and uneducated. They went into the ring without making careful observation of this.

“They did not know that we laid in wait. We took the file, submitted it to Dr Nasiru Yusuf Gwuna and told him to hold it tight. When we filed a petition at the Kano governorship election tribunal, we told the court that they were not fielded by the party. We told the court that when INEC closed accepting names of candidates, they did not join the party.”

This is very embarrassing and I believe it was not really a mistake.

It was a strategy by Dr Kwankwaso, the Presidential candidate of NNPP, to bolster his own chances in his Kano state home base.

There's no way his Presidential campaign could get traction and make the local politicians see the benefits in his campaign to them unless he dangles the prospect of Kano state governorship seat before them. It's still part of the politics. Kano state is strategic and the stakes are very high. I don't believe he made mistake, it was deliberate and the only option they had left.

In 2011, ACN fielded Mallam Ribadu as a Presidential candidate for a similar reason even when it knew the chances of winning was slim. ACN didn't want to be without a Presidential candidate so it would not be forced to give PDP and CPC the edge to corner ACN members. Check my signature for free stuffs!

Very correct

APC did not rig?
LADEMINUS:

They rigged. Don't dodge the issue. No agent will sign an unstamped and undated ballot

I don't know. I haven't seen the full judgement to know how they ruled on the unsigned ballot papers. But they based their judgement on disqualifying Abba Yusuf which Ganduje is claiming they're the architects. That's my point.
Appeal Court even said the tribunal should have disqualified him.
My point though is Abba Yusuf joined NNPP before the gubernatorial primaries. In fact, he joined March 2022 while gubernatorial held in May. So Ganduje is simply lying.
appeal court only answered the prayers of APC on abba disqualification which tribunal didn't grant.
Nnpp did abba dirty. There was no primary .And the new electoral act says even if there is going to be consensus, all the aspirant that bought nomination form must cosign sign and inec must witness the process.

Abba is gone otilo.

1. Abba was the only candidate for NNPP. So by default he was consensus and a primary later held to ratify it though I can't confirm if inec attended.
2. The Appeal Court did not rule on whether a valid primaries held or not. Appeal is saying he wasn't a member of the party when elections held.
Can you spot the difference?

The point is, according to apc, inec had closed submission of forms before he could register as a candidate, how then did his name appear on the ballot papers!
INEC is not court abi? So their modus is to mess things up for the courts to clean up? Some things just don't add up, no matter how you try to explain.

Its INEC fault if ballots are not signed and dated. APC is using the judiciary to recover where they lost
based on assuming and your own opinion it's INEC fault not voters, based on sections 163 of the electoral act 2022 it's invalid votes. And court work with what is in the constitution not assumption grin grin grin

See who is talking, a man filled with corruption and stain all over. it's unfortunate that Nigerians don't look before they choose leaders, Yes he was desperate but you lack the moral standing to speak when your name is interpreted as corruption personified. when you go all out foe personal interest then you are going to serve for your pocket and not the masses.

Did you sing this song for Akpabio, Lawal and Umahi?? You're now singing another song! Continue

What is important is:

Is it true?

Whether the other names find a wat to circumvent that truth, is another matter entirely. There was a technical legal loophole that was used to get Ahmed Lawal the APC ticket. That's some cold truth.

What is important here is that we need a much more enlightened population - and that's regardless of persons or political parties.

We all suffer the consequences of an unenlightened populace - everyone. That's something we ALL have to address with dedication.

Nothing like interloper, NNPP did not submit the name of Abba Yusuf to INEC, infact, no primaries took place.

If this happen to APC, the court will dismiss it with technicalities but because it was NNPP they want to interpret the law

NNPC said Yusuf was their candidate eventhough they knew he wasn't on the register and there was no primaries. do you feel like INEC should have fought their choice?. people should learn to seperate INEC from party's blantant errors.

That still doesn't answer the question "who gave him certificate of return"
If he wasn't on inec's register?
Of course,Party don't issue certificate of return

So, if a party fielded a candidate that wasn't in the register and won election, INEC shouldn't issue a certificate?. if a party was so foolish to present an invalid candidate, INEC should force them not to submit their choice?, is INEC the legal team of any party?, has NNPP no legal advisers?. Abeg, no dey vex me dis night.

If nah APC candidate, the court would simply say it is a pre-election matter and guess what, the case will be thrown out.

APC and the judiciary are one and the same.

Disgraceful comment by Ganduje.

Since INEC had closed submission of forms, why did the same INEC accept the form from the man and his party?

This gives us more insight into the collusion of INEC with political parties, who try all they can to subvert democracy.
inec is just a referee, until u raise an objection they will not bother to check the VAR and it is only the VAR that can revise the decision of a referee

Law 9 of Robert Greene's book, 48 laws of power says, "Win through your actions, never through argument." The idea is to let your adversaries make mistakes without interference, allowing their errors to play out to your advantage. This strategy is about patience and strategic thinking rather than actively disrupting your opponent.

Dumbo.an election can be filed by either a candidate, party or both.when Abba joined doesn't matter but whether he was a registered member of nnpp

Gawuna congratulated Abba Yusuf. Is that not a sign that he believes he lost fairly and squarely?
How do you know he was not a registered member of NNPP when it was publicly declared in March 2022 that he joined the party?
Your chairman is lying because as at March, primaries had not even held not to mention closed.
