According to savings stats from the FCA, up to a third (34%) of UK adults had either no savings, or less than £1,000 in a savings account. This equates to around 22.8 million people with very little or no money to fall back on. This figure was skewed towards the younger population, with under half (47%) of 18-24 year-olds having less than £1,000 in their savings account. Obaofpigs: Have you been there before? Uk's present problem lies with Brexit. When in the EU, the UK could export its good and services to the EU's $18.5 trillion market tax free. With Brexit, there are now trade barriers and it's really hurting the economy. Brexit is the economic equivalent of unscrambling a scrambled egg. Just imagine one you've made with pepper,tomato, onions and sardines. It's time the British made attempts to rejoin the EU. A new referendum should take within the next 3 years. Already, a small majority are in support of rejoining when surveyed. However, a larger number would be needed to ensure a yes vote for rejoining. 6 Likes 1 Share |

webm:It's actually not huge if you consider the purchasing power. While in Nigeria, having a 1000 pounds is huge and will buy you a lot, in UK it's the opposite. A £1k can only help with rent and groceries for the month. Over here, a £200 covers yearly rent. If you really think about it you will see that a Nigerian with 200,000 Naira in his account is richer than a brit with a thousand pounds. That's in terms of financial comparison. 10 Likes 1 Share |
